I'll just use the same excuse that you have used for Soriano. "He's young, he doesn't know any better!"
But as to the actual game, I missed about half of it due to them breaking in for severe weather reports and our power going out in the 7th inning.
But I told yall the Sox were going to win last night! Now all the pressure is on Cleveland tomorrow because the LAST thing they want is a game 7 in Boston.
Where did I make an excuse for Soriano?
Do you mean I was making an excuse when I said it wasn't excusable to admire a HR (or a near HR and end up with a double, not a triple)?? Funny, dude. "Not excusable" means there was no excuse for his behavior.
Quoting myself: Soriano annoyed me by admiring his shots, but that's a little more understandable for a kid in his early 20's. Not permissible, not excusable, but a little more understandable.
For those who missed the play, here you go:

I watched the play this morning on MLBTV... 1st play of the game.
Warning: embarrassing sox pic if you scroll to the top of the page. I'll just leave it at that.![]()
@ you telling us all.
Like that was a hard call
I knew Boston would win last night too.
But Congrats on extending your season
I hope it goes 7 games and Kenny Lofton hits a 2 run HR in the 9th inning of Papelbon and admires it for 30 seconds.
That be priceless
and lol @ that picture.
Yea that is funny stuff.
A couple of oddballs![]()
Perhaps.... if so many of his red sox teammates and fans didn't bi#$h non-stop about A-Rod making that play 3 years ago. Hilarious under those circumstances. Pedroia joins the ranks of the dirty, cheating, no class players like A-Rod. Even if Pedroia is the Junior low-life, dirty, cheating, no class player , I love it!! To Pedroia's credit, he wasn't strong enough to dislodge the ball.![]()
The picture.... ummm..... let's just say I'm delighted that was your closer and not mine. Didn't he know better?![]()
I'd rather chop off my left hand and mail it to you than even think about trading a legend like Rivera.
I still get mad thinking about Pettitte being allowed to leave as a free agent (though I'm delighted he was brought back). As rare as it is these days, players like Rivera need to spend their entire career with one team.
I thought of that when I typed it
and ***** @ trading Mo for J-pap straight up.
Too funny.
I would take Mo over Johnny boy any day and I'm pretty sure most people are the same way.
This isn't fantasy baseball were talking about
And yea I'm interested in seeing what all our team will look like this up coming year.
