Its posts and people like this that make me laugh. At least I had decency to acknowledge Xbox 360 as a good system. There is NO WAY...NO WAY that one console is ABSOLUTLEY BETTER THAN THE OTHER. Big differences in both. Your a chump. PERIOD. Enjoy your xbox nerd.

at the end of the day, it comes down to games. and the 360 has that advantage over the ps3 bigger than anywhere else. sony's done a great job of shoehorning feature after feature into its machine to make us forget their games are pretty putrid compared to the lineup of the 360.

I just want to say that it doesn't matter how many games a system has if you don't like any of them. The Xbox has more games, but I don't like Halo, Bioshock, or any exclusive they have.

As well they should be better. They had a year head start. I have a feeling once MGS4 and Gran Turismo and Resistance 2 drop, people will start seriously looking at it as a serious gaming machine and it can compete with the 360. But I don't think the 360 will ever be half the media machine the PS3 is. I just feel that over their lifespans, the PS3 will make up ground game wise, where the 360 will be a game machine only. That's not necessarily bad for the 360, I just think as time goes by, the idea of an all in one machine will sound better to consumers. But I have both so I'm set either way.

a ps2 doubled as a dvd player and everyone loved it but dvd was the next big format. blu ray isn't close to what dvd was then, so i don't know how much it'll benefit them by adding features to the console itself. it'll be a benefit of course but i don't know how many systems it'll sell by themselves. games come first. and price. nintendo is a shining example, as were many consoles before it. the wii is just a game machine but it's outselling everyone.

microsoft could always release a blu ray add on if they choose to as well. that's another positive to keeping the hd dvd out of the console by default and making the add ons and peripherals optional.

It's only more bang for your buck if you utilize all the extras you have paid for. Why should someone be forced to buy a system that includes a blu-ray player when they have no use for one?

That's why I like the 360, I get to pick and choose what features I want to add on to it. Not everyone wants or needs a loaded system or one that is equally equipped to the PS3.

But what if you wanted high def movies? Wouldn't it be nice to know you don't have to spend an extra X amount to get it. The fact that they are now so close in price is good for PS3. That was not the case a year ago. So now you either pay 349 for a 360 gaming machine, or 399 for a gaming machine and a blu ray player. So in essence you are getting a blu ray for $50 bucks.
