Ok. Honestly I wanted to avoid this thread, but I can't. I even remade my account, but that was for various reasons.

After about 3 discouraging weeks my partner quit and I got caught up in work, women, and school. Knowing there was no way I could play this year I guess I just slacked off, and next year is impossible as well. Walk-on tryouts are in like 2 days.

I can only try my best for the following year. I'll see what happens. In life you can't really accommodate for all your hopes and dreams when others rely on you. I can only try my best to go in that direction and hope for a season or two before I graduate. Thanks for all the advice so far though, and I hope I can actually start towards that goal again soon. Sorry if I wasted anyones time, and good luck to you that have posted in this thread!

As far as my update, I'm still committed to Wisconsin and am so pumped for signing day (on my birthday) February 6th in 2 weeks. And I can't wait for spring training!

Hey man, good luck with playing D-1 football. That would be a dream come true for anybody who loves the game. I love all the Colorado teams, but I will pull for you at Wisconsin without a doubt. I only played football my Senior year in HS, I made all-confrence and was one of the top tacklers in Class 4A in Colorado. I got a bunch of letters from D-2 and NAIA schools. I joined the Marines instead. I'm 26 and although I don't regret my service, I wish I had a chance to throw the pads on again. You have a chance of a lifetime. I hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Started running again!

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - Alternating between running bleachers, hills, and track each day. What I mean is.. I am running them all each day but alternating. I want to build stamina and explosiveness so I am trying different things. I also do some side to side drills and backpedaling.. A lot of calf working too.

I want to start lifting as well Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday. Saturday is my day off.

Kept running on schedule even though the last couple days I didn't want to haha... Still haven't worked on upper body yet, need to work something out.. Anyone have recommendations on what to eat to bulk up more, and how much?

Started lifting last tuesday. Lifting today again.. I'm freaking sore. Anyone know what type of weight lifting pros do?

I'm sure everybody has their lifting routines. Depends on where you need the most work. I know they don't lift everyday. Probably an everyother day type of thing so they don't kill themselves.
