You are 6-1, that is pretty good. Sure, some wins make have been lucky and other wins really good wins. But 6-1 is good because all you have to do is hold on and you are in good shape for a home play off game.

Let's be honest, the Broncos are not going to beat the Colts in the play-offs at home or on the road and I think the Patriots will win either way. But other than that, you are going to get a home playoff game against a team that you could win. And I dont think it will be against the Steelers or the Ravens.

It might be the Bengals or it might be a lesser tier team. Home field advantage is crucial in the play-offs.

Get to 10 or 11 wins and the Chargers wont be able to keep up.

We can beat anyone if we play Broncos football.

p.s. - We already beat the Pats

The offense hasnt been very good so far. 18th in points per drive, 20th in TDs per drive, 23rd in punts per drive, we only have 17 passing plays over 20 yards (No team with a winning record has fewer).

There are a lot of improvements that we can make on the offensive side of the ball, because so far the defense has played well enough to keep us in games, and give us a chance at the end. It would be nice to come out, and just put somebody down right away, and let the defense just wreck them extreme pressure.

Well our Offense is:

Total Offense
15th in the league

Passing Offesnse
16th

Rushing Offense
14th

First Downs
15th

I will take top half in the league for most stats considering that we played the Cowboys, Bengals, Patriots, and Ravens!

Also, lets not forget this is the first year under McDaniels and the offense is still very new. We saw Matt Cassell and New England take off about this time last year.

It takes a couple of years to learn a new offense, esp. for one as complex as NE's. Esp. esp. if the QB's new to the team, the offensive line, and the receivers. Esp. esp. esp. if he's been playing injured.

Step back and consider: aren't we all a bit astonished at how fast this entire team has picked up the new offense and defense? But that doesn't mean all the pieces are in place and we should expect to run with NE or Indy efficiency after 7 weeks.

I have 100% confidence in this coaching staff and this team. They keep finding ways to win when everyone thinks they will lose. I'm willing to wait until the end of the year to make any dire assessments. After all, it's not like we're 2-5 (as most predicted). Take a chill pill and enjoy winning for a change!

I'm going to say this every time I see this kind of post: Are the Broncos doing worse than you expected? Some people seem unhappy winning while not playing the way they'd prefer. If we're 6-1 and leading the division, what's the beef? Wait until the sky falls to start crying, "The sky is falling."

Mar 1, 2009: "Wouldn't it be great if Josh can win the division in the next three years!"
Nov 1, 2009: "We'll never win the Super Bowl this year if we can't throw the damn ball upfield!"

Kyle Orton is doing what he's being asked. Just like what a good child would do when his mother asked him to do something

McDaniels isn't asking Orton to throw it downfield all the time. He's asking him to be proficient, and not turn the ball over. Orton doesn't have a lollipop arm, he's shown me he has a good arm, but he's extremely inaccurate with the deep ball. If that's one of his weaknesses, why would you continue to try to do something you aren't great at?

Enlighten me, please.

Let's be honest. We're 6-1 and in first place in our division.

Did everybody forget or -17 turnover differential last year? Well McDaniels hasn't forgot it. He saw the biggest problem on this team, too many turnovers and not creating any, and has fixed that problem by getting more aggressive on defense and more conservative on offense. This team has limited its turnovers and has improved because of it, I don't get why people don't understand that.

It appears that most people are forgetting that the Ravens were very close to going to the Super Bowl last year and if not for a missed FG against Minnesota and a last minute loss to the Bengals (another solid team), they could have been 5-1 when we played them instead of 3-3. We played a very strong team that was extremely motivated to not let their season slip away on their home field and their D just flat outmatched our O-line. It happens, even to the best teams, especially when you play one of the best teams. Had we played Tampa Bay or St. Louis and been manhandled like that, then you might be able to start questioning the offense a little, but that isn't the case.

We got beat by a team that many picked to be at least in the conference championship game, we only had one turnover (who wouldn't have fumbled after that hit?), and the team still made an effort even after it was clear that it was the Ravens' day.

Did anyone really think we'd go undefeated and never let a team score in the second half? Because I don't remember seeing those posts before the season started. I do remember seeing a lot of people lamenting that we were going to only win 4 games and that McDaniels was driving the team into the ground for the next decade. So, even you unrealistic, short-sighted fans who like to run around like Chicken Little on crack every time we don't win by 100 points have to sit back, relax, enjoy the fact that this team is better than most expected it to be, and realize that losing happens. Here's another very novel idea: get over it. It's done and now the team is focused on trying to beat the defending Super Bowl Champions on a national stage. Tune in Monday night.

Let's just be honest here and take it one game at a time. Looking into your cystle ball and guessing the out come to this season is just dumb. Many here said we couldn't do better than 4-12 or worse. Now they eat crow. Stop trying to guess the season out come till it happens. This is the NFL and anything can happen on any given sunday/monday or what ever. Just enjoy each week as they come. OMG

Don't kid yourself either - Even Good Teams have bad games for whatever the reason. It's nearly immpossible to carry the emotion and effort needed to win every week. Sometimes things happen - Look at the Eagles/Raiders or Indy nearly upset at home by SF, NO struggling to beat Atlanta and Miami etc ....

1 game does show a trend - No matter how much you want the coach to fail
