Kevin O'Connell?

Does anyone know his contract information with the Jets? I know we placed a waiver claim on him, but Detroit grabbed him and shipped him off to New York.

This thread is not about Orton's performance this week or anything like that. I just think theres a chance we look at him again this offseason if he's a FA

although it has nothing to do with orton .. honestly .. Why would we pick up O'Connel when we can keep Orton. Orton is playing extremely well and If denver is smart they'll stick with what's working .. not to bash your post, cause i know how it feels to have an idea shot down, but I just don't like it

I'm talking about the offseason, not saying we should sign him right now. I like Orton, I really do. But IMO he is a 2-3 year stop gap at best. He showed last week that this offense is not built to come from behind. If we get down by 14 the game is practically over. I know someone will say we've come back from 10 point deficits, but that is due to our defense forcing turn overs and giving us great field position.

What happens on a day when our Defense doesnt show up (like Baltimore)? We'll see how we rebound this week, but I fear Baltimore exposed some pretty serious weaknesses. I'm not blaming the loss on just Orton by any means, he was constantly getting pressured up the middle. For Orton to have success we need to improve the interior of our line.

I just see O'Connell as a young QB with a lot of potential, that could become available. Maybe Brandstater is the QB of the future, I hope he is. But I'm just saying I wouldnt be surprised if O'Connell is in Broncos training camp next season.

I get what your saying but they can resign orton another year or two .. ortonis the QB for McDaniels' system if you ask me. I think Bradstander will be good when orton is gone and if orton is gone in the off season fact is .. there are better Qb's to be Free agents then Kevin O'Connel. in fact I think I'd be more impressed with Denver Drafting Jake Locker then singing Kevin O'Connel. THe only good thing about O'Connel is that he has had time with McDaniels in the past. But If We pick up a QB, I'd prefer us to pick up a vet, or maybe even a QB liek Sage Rosenfels, who will probably be a FA by the Off season because I don't see the Vikings Keeping him. another QB that might be Availible is Caleb Hainie. Hainie has great athleticism, and a great arm. So if we are to pick up a QB, I wouldn't be surprised to see O'Connel, but I'm not sure I have faith in O'Connel to be a legit NFL QB, but he could also be the QB of the future. I'm not sure, but there are other QB's out there. Tyler Thigpen might be availible, I mean there are just so many other options, that I'm just not sure, But I have a feeling Orton will stay a Bronc for at least another few years
