I don't think anyone could have beat the Ravens last week,,,
They were fired up and the crowd was insanely loud - I did expect a closer game,,. But they just had a great game plan against us and I expect a lot of teams to follow Baltimores game plan against us,,, can we adjust is the question...

Good game plan + execution wins games. I think that's what we saw against the Ravens. Rather than the Bronco's being figured out (after 6 games and similar style offense what is there to be figure out), they got outplayed.

Ravens off a bye have to avoid losing their 4th straight.

Broncos after a bye early game on the road (we lose 60% of the time in early games), after winning 6 straight. Too much is being made about teams figuring us out. I would suspect that each head coach knows a lot about the team they are going to be up against and their tendencies.

It's as if now that the Bronco's have been "figured" out it eliminates any and all weaknesses on other teams that we could exploit.

We know them just as well as they know us.

Look: This is the bottom line

Our offense is loaded with talent, McDaniels is a creative Offensive coach and way beyond his years as far as being a coach in this league

BUT

If we can not find a way to stretch the field and use our deep threats like Royal and Marshall in long 40+ yard passes then we will never get past teams like the Ravens, Steelers, Bengals, or the Jets who have defenses who love to play press man coverage, put 8 in the box, and blitz all day.

The fact that they are fully aware there is no threat at all whatsoever to go deep down the field only amplifies the things that those teams want/like to do on defense to stop a simple "dink and dunk" offense this is only willing to take what the defense is going to give.

That has got to change if we want to make a deep run in the playoffs, you dont have to agree with me, its just my opinion, and I for one think its pretty dead on.

Let's not kid ourselves!

Pittsburgh beat 1-6 Tennessee in a game they clearly should have lost if not for 2 Bironas missed FG's

Pittsburgh got beat by the same Bears team the Bengals waxed!

Pittsburgh got beat by Cincy, who we beat!

Pittsburgh beat a Chargers team who is a shell of thier former selves, they gave up 28 unanswered ponts in that game and nearly blew it!

Then Pittsburgh beat Detroit and Cleveland, 2 of the worst teams in the NFL, and neither one of them convincingly I might add!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, they beat Minnesota, but let's be honest, Minnesota dominated that game and if not for 2 fluke defensive TD's in the 2nd half by Pittsburgh the Vikings would have won that game going away!

Let's not kid ourselves, the Steelers are not as good as people make them out to be. They can be run on, they can be passed on, and our defense right now is just as good as thiers. If we play a good clean football game with minimal penalties and turnovers, we will win by 10+

Take your negativity elsewhere!!!

While I don't support the doom and gloom attitude about the up coming game, I agree that the offense isn't very good. They consistently start slow, they don't score many points, and don't perform at a high level in the red zone.

They don't seem to take enough shots down field. Considering that the rules are skewed toward the offense, it's inexcusable that they don't take more shots down field. If it's because they don't have the confidence on Orton to do that, I don't see how they bring him back next year. Right now, the offense isn't playing like an offense that is capable of being competitive in the playoffs. I'm fine with that for this season. It won't be fine for next season though. The problem though would be finding a complete quarterback that will enable them to take shots down field. Cassel signed a long term contract in K.C. so he won't be an option. I'm not even sure he's any better at throwing down field than Orton. The bottom line though, is that something has to change on offense. They have to get off to better starts and they need to start scoring more points.

whoa there buddy, calm down. We had a bad game, and we lost to a good team. At least we didn't lose to the raiders. Invesco is a brutal place to play and the steelers are going to be missing some of there good players. Plus I think we come back with a vengance
