BM69 like I said, its not the Ipod that is the issue, if you're using internet explorer, stop, if you have an anti-virus, use it and update it often, if you have kids using the computer, they could very likely be downloading things unknowingly, if youre this unfamiliar with computers, you could be downloading things unknowingly. A computer is like a car, if you don't maintain it, it will fail. When is the last time you ran a virus/malware/adware scan?

I'm the only one that has used this puter for quite awhile (kids are gone now), and this new software just "appeared" after plugging this iPod into it yesterday. I found it fascinating how at work plugging this Nano into the Mac it "took over" and I mean that literally. The Mac opened all necessary files, it was on-line contacting my registration info, kept asking questions. It even knew my name! I was like...WOAH! This protection program BS I found has already been deleted and removed from my PC. This was totally weird. It wanted $30 to clean my system. Cheap ad or commercial whatever. __________________

If you don't mind, may I ask what browser you use? Also, what virus protection etc? It matters because not all things are equal in this regard. Routine scanning for malware/adware/virus threats is essential. You can determine how frequently you need to scan and remove those threats based on how much you use your system. Typically, if you have active protection running at a medium or higher level of protection, you should perform a thorough computer scan at least once a week. If you have turned off active protection or have it running at a low setting, or if you use your computer on the net a lot, I would recommend scanning whenever you start up your computer for the day, or scheduling it for a time you don't use your computer. (Another thing, never leave your computer running. You should always shut down after use). Also, I highly suggest that you run a scan after removing programs or whenever system performance seems slow. |

My iTunes works fine on my PC.
You can sync with up to 5 machines at once, BM. You're not limited to your work computer. You can sync with up to 5 computers at any one time. |
