Wild Horses?
I am a new member to these forums but a long time reader so I guess I'm still a newbie. I've been wondering if anyone thinks we should break out the "Wild Horses" formation vs. Pittsburgh this week since we have only run it once vs. the Patriots with great success. So what do you guys think?

I think it would be a good thing to bring out again, but usually Josh doesn't like to run the same plays, so this may be a one and done thing.

The Steelers probably think that too and that's why Josh should catch them off guard with it. The Steelers won't be ready for it.

A nice feature of the 'Wild Horses' is that it 'freezes' the Defense and lends more control to the Offense.
Since our Offense tries to just "take what the Defense will give them"- the problem is the Steelers' D doesn't give you much .

LeBeau is going to have that Defense ready to play. Anything we can do to give them something they can't prepare for has to be a good thing. Even if they line up once or twice in that formation, it may keep them guessing a little- that can't be a bad thing.

Definitely ... as a surprise attack, it could produce some first downs when needed.

I don't think being prepared to run it is a bad idea, and a no-huddle at times would be effective as well. The Steelers are going to bring the ship, so keeping them moving quickly in the altitude might be a good idea, assuming we can get some first downs and keep the ball moving.

I would expect to see some max-protect schemes, and some overloads in order to run the ball. If sDenver can pound the rock and win the field position battle, we will be fine.

Noob!

We need something super off the wall for this game, we need this game before people think our team is weak. I really wanna be 7-1 cause I think there will be only one undefeated after this week

Not really.

The Defensive Stats, Home Field, and both current and historical records all favor the Broncos. All they really need to do is play closer to their potential then last week and they'll be fine.

McDaniels will have them ready, and the crowd will have them fired up!

Make us proud Orange and Blue!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe we should run the wild horse a few times and see if it works. If it does, just use it off and on, if it don't work, stop using it quick.

I rather use the Wild Horse if we are wining and trying to run out the clock.

except for his repetitive calling of screens! Love em when they work and hate them when they dont.

Screens are great when the other team's safeties aren't always in the box because they are not afraid of the deep ball at all....saying that...I'd LOVE to see Wildhorses again, just because it gives Orton a really good look at the D, and that game he was excellent...that's the only time I can say that about him
