Practicing With Retro Uniforms?

I was wondering if the team was going to practice this week while wearing the retro unis. I would think that there might be some advantages in doing so; particularly players getting used to seeing their teammates in the different colors.

Well, I checked the blog, and while it doesn't look like anyone is wearing the jerseys I see that everyone is wearing the retro helmets, and Daniel Graham is even sporting the retro socks.

Is that a brown retro jersey on Polumbus (#76)?

I assume that we'll be wearing yellow jerseys on Sunday? Is there also a retro brown jersey?

Maybe they'll be wearing that brown jersey instead of the yellow. I like it better.

Im pretty sure that jersey that polumbus is wearing is the black jersey that mcdaniels gives every week to the lesser, not-starters that have a good week of practice, i remember brandon lloyd was wearing it in week 2

The Broncos of the 60's never had brown uniforms. They had white/brown and yellow/brown.

Thanks for the responses everyone! This is going to be great watching them in these uniforms. I still think that they should have a mustard practice or two, but it might not matter much.... just hit the guys wearing white!

and throw to the guys wearing yellow!

and not the one with Paul Revere picking up a freshly laid turd.

Yeah, I think you're right. This is the matchup logo on the Pats website:

What's the deal with that other helmet/logo? I had never seen it before until I was searching around earlier today. From what I can tell they used that logo in 1960 and then switched to the "Pat Patriot" logo in 1961, but I'm not too sure about that either and don't care enough about the Pats to gather the interest and motivation to confirm it.

For whatever reason, the Broncos decided to go with their first uniforms, and the Pats decided to go with a later one. Other teams did similar things -- the Jets are wearing what I think is their first uniform, for example. I think it was up to each team to pick what to wear. I'm kinda glad that we went with the real old-school just because it's so different and back to the roots. There's a good story with those socks.
