Was Cobbs overrated

Now that all of the reports have came out on TC, Do you believe that Cobbs was more hyped up than he should have been?

I would say it is still way to early to tell.

However, I think you will like this morning's camp report over at the mane. Don't just read that post, go down a couple more and there are reports from a couple other guys on M. Bell.

As Shanahan has said, you can't really tell anything until live games. On the bright side, it appears that T. Bell is coming alive and that M. Bell is making a big impression on people that are watching practices.

I'd have to agree with tned, it is to early to tell how well or poorly Cobbs will produce. Besides Mike Bell, the rest of the tailbacks have not been receiving a lot of praise in TC. So the question can be asked if the other running backs are overrated as well.

mike bell has probably already passed cobbs up on the depth chart.

however, I don't think cobbs was overrated because they never said he was gonna be that great. they just said he had potential to be good.

yeah, I completely agree with you. The only reason he was hyped up is because we had about 1 1/2 months around here with nothing to talk about. So people just started questioning whether he will be good so... I dont think he ever was truly overated.

Not too mention Shanny mentioning him without prompting on several occaissions.

No. The cuts havent happend. Nobody put a crown on Cobbs head. He was a new runner and when any player gets added to the Broncos with the "RB" title there will be much discussion of possible domination.

With Cobb's size and speed, how could you NOT have high hopes for him? Especially behind our o-line.
