This is what I found:

40 Yard:
Rondel Menendez 4.24
I'm pretty sure Bo Jackson, Darrell Green, and Deion Sanders ran faster times, but I think all were done by hand.

Bench:
Justin Ernest with 51

Vertical:
Gerald Sensabaugh with 46 in.

Shuttle:
Kevin Kasper with 3.73

3 Cone drill:
Sedrick Curry 6.45

you sure that first 40 time is accurate. This is what I found since they started electronic timing in the 40 in 1999.

which is why measureables are often overrated, especially the 40 yard dash.

Did Hester run his in reverse or something?

Thought I heard he'd run a 4.24, maybe it wasn't at the actual Combine though?

It would be an interesting study to examine each individual measurables measured by the combine and do a positional study of which are the best predictors of good players.

I'd imagine that's the type of study that a quality scouting department would conduct.

I think the exact opposite. That looks like a much better list than any other measurable I could think of. Bench Press, Heisman Trophies, Ray Guy, Shuttle, Intelligence Test. Obviously it is not a cure all.

I think he just had a bad combine day. I think he ran a 4.5ish, but is obviously much faster.

EDIT: Nevermind, he ran a 4.41
