It seemes that a lot of people want to deal our first rounder this year. The next question becomes who do you think we can deal it to and who would give us the best deal?
There are the obvious TB and Detroit suggestions in moving back but I have an interesting idea. Seattle. Yes I said it Seattle. They are picking at 25 this year and it seems they may want to snatch up a top RB for the replacement of the oft injured Alexander. They would want to jump ahead of the Bears and Cardinals and Texans who will definatley look at RB. Those of you who want RB in the first round may want to close your ears. We could trade back to 25 and also receive Seattle's 3rd round this year AND their 2009 1st rounder. That seems like it could possibly work. We would probably lose out on Phillips and some of the OT and RB we would be targeting but there is the possibility of some great talent sliding to 25. I personally would prefer Connor but I would also love to add a DT maybe Balmer if he falls that far or a OT to solidify the position. And all you RB mainiacs out there, let me tell you there is great depth at the position to find a stud in round 2 at 44. A Chris Johnson or Ray Rice or Jamal Charles type.
Just so you know the big sell point in this is picking up an extra 1st rounder next year as well as the much needed 3rd rounder this year. And as Ive been constently told, next years draft will have better elite prospects in the first round.
Who do you think will most likely be the team we look to deal with? What do you think about Seattle?
