A co-worker and I were having an argument over who the best receiver is behind Rice. I'm not gonna say who we thought was but I want you all to give me your take on it.

I'd have to say that Steve Largent has to be up there. Now maybe it's because i seen him twice a year against our Broncos but the guy was a clutch catcher and always got his feet in bounds no matter what.

In his prime, I'd say Terrell Owens. Moss not far behind. Overall though, I hate it but I think it's Tim Brown.

I watched Chris Carter play too, and i think he should also be in the discussion.

The first names that came to mind was Steve Largent and Tim Brown.

But I'll go with Lance Alworth.

Keep in mind I Am only 25 so my list doesn't really go into the 70's but I wanna say is Moss has 2 more seasons close to last year he may get it, but the book isn't closed on Torry Holt who is nothing but production

Also I like Marvin Harrison, Lynn Swan, and Cris Carter, hard to say Rice was the GOAT

I gotta go with Marvin Harrison. He is obviously on the tail end now, but he gets my vote.

I have always been a big fan of Isaac Bruce

After this season here mixed with Faulk the rams seemed unstoppable ...

I can only go by who i've personally seen play... That really narrows the list
but it goes like this...

1) Rice
2) Carter
3) Moss
4) Brown
5) Michael Irvin
6) Harrison
7) Owens
8) Andre Reed
9) Herman Moore
10) Jimmy Smith/ Rod Smith/Holt

I know I'm "not allowed" to say this but Randy Moss is better than Jerry Rice.

Rice was good, a workhorse and playe don great teams but Moss is a freak. He could out jump, outrun, outcatch and physically out muscle Jerry Rice any day.

Rice was great, and I'd easily put him second, but Moss gets my vote for best receiver of all time. I don't care about numbers or championships, both are beyond the individual and are typically a reflection of the team, not the player. I care about talent and ability.

I really think Marvin Harrison is great
He just goes in and does his job. I hardly ever hear about him.
Hes 1 of the best that I've seen. :salute:

Greatest possession WR - Largent
Greatest deep threat - Lofton
Greatest combined - Randy Moss

I do not even like moss, but strictly as a WR he is 2nd to Rice and will end up 2nd to him in all cats.

Largent ran the most precise routes I have ever seen and no CB could contain him.

Lofton even at the age of 35 posted 1000 yds and an 18.8 ypc
