It was only one game, but Monday night's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles gave us a glimpse of the Braylon Edwards of old.

You remember him? Although he did not score a touchdown, this was the Edwards who did not drop any passes. This was the Edwards who made plays. This was, well, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.

But following the game, Edwards had had enough. He finally had something to say. Edwards told reporters about his concerns and had a few quips that were reported in The Plain Dealer and at cleveland.com.

Edwards, however, had more to say Tuesday night in an interview with Starting Blocks. Edwards reiterated his frustrations and disappointments since he's been a member of the Browns. He said the negativity started on draft night when the media grilled him about his luxury car, a Bentley, and his school, Michigan.

On Tuesday, he said his issues are more than that.

"I'm not Paul Warfield, Webster Slaughter or Jim Brown. I've given my all to this city for four years, and I realize it will never be enough. I went to the Pro Bowl last year and resurrected this team from the darkness, and nobody cared."

Some cared too much. According to Edwards, a few Browns fans took things too far.

"People in this town believe they are entitled to too much. They have been disrespectful to me and my family. I've gone out in public with my family and have had to deal with being called foul names. My parents have been called vulgar things at restaurants."
Of course, a few ignorant fans (maybe they were from Pittsburgh) do not represent all Browns fans. Edwards said he is aware of that. But it still hurts.

"My biggest problem is that I actually give a damn. I'm always rushing back from surgeries and injuries, never missing games or practices. But through this, I've learned how to overcome adversity. I'm also proud of how my foundation has taken off. I've been doing all this community service in Cleveland ... my charity efforts will only be in Detroit from now on."

So, Edwards is sad because HE can't catch anything and he's called on it. So, now since he was called on it, Cleveland money is good for him. But he has no interest in giving back to the community - he'd rather give it to Detroit.

Talk about a two-timing-cry-baby punk!

He is throwing his own temper tantrum. If he likes Detroit so much - he should stay there, IMHO.

Furthermore, he wants all the attention and accolades for last year?

Football is a team effort.

Furthermore, he's right he's not Paul Warfield or Jim Brown. They played nearly two decades between them for the Browns. Not "four" as Edwards has. They have more class on their pinky finger than Edwards does in his entire body.

He makes millions, so he SHOULD live with the booing at games.

One thing I will defend him on is being called names in public. Fans AREN'T entitled to jack crap, unless they are at a game. You can boo all you want, after all you paid for your tickets. However, when a player is out in public with their family or just trying to enjoy themselves, harassing them and calling them or their family names is just wrong.

This isn't me saying most Clevland Fans are like this, but generally the rotten fans from every NFL team are a disgrace if they act like that toward a player in public.

Pulling out of a charity though just because you've been treated poorly by some fans is childish, and cowardice.

So, I'm not really sure how I feel. He could be crying, he could have a legitimate points. Its hard to say how much he's exaggerating or not.

How would those so called " fans " like it if he went to their workplace and harrassed them ? His pulling a charity out of Cleveland is his own childish choice he could still have it there just not as supported as his home town Detroit charities is the best way to settle that. He has to realize that our sports writers ( press ) here are morons and will grill anybody on anything. He drives a Bentley ? That is just flat out stupid, it's his choice but he could have chose something better they are gas hogs and notorious for constant repair. I have seen a number of at the time current and past Vikings and I showed them respect by not booing them or asking for their autographs when I saw them in public, they have lives outside of sports. The Vikings used to have a patch on their jersies that all players believed in...40 for 60. That is 40 players working for 60 minutes to win as a team maybe Edwards needs to reevaluate his performances and his contributions to the TEAM he plays for. They have Winslow do they need another diva ?

What a dumbass. "Butterfingers" should be his name from now on. He's just getting what he deserves after a sorryass season of dropped passes. And making that ridiculous bet with Phelps about scoring TD's. Butterfingers just came back down to earth this season. If I was a Browns fan, I definitely don't want him back on the team.
