I gotta agree with that. I'll be routing for all Mountain West teams except San Diego state....

Other than that, I'll just root for the underdog in every game I watch.

My upset would definitely be anyone over Kentucky. They seem to inexperienced and a upset is bound to happen.

Here's to another good march :salute!:

Well I'm rooting for MU to win it all, but I doubt that happens...

I think West Virginia takes it, just because I think they have the best chance to
beat Kansas. Kansas is clearly the best overall team in the nation, and to beat
them I personally believe you need a player who can penetrate and score/pass.

The only 3 teams that I see that have a player that will be able to do that
consistently and are talented enough across the board are Ohio State, West
Virginia, and Kentucky.

Kentucky clearly has Wall who can drive on anyone and can dish from there
or score. Cousins is good enough to keep Aldrich from being too dominant and
they have the fire power to score with KU or defend against them... Problem
for me with the Wildcats is that Wall doesn't have enough of a killer attitude late
in games anymore.

West Virginia's Butler, Jones, and Ebanks all have the size and speed to get
inside and ability to finish or find each other down there. The multiple people
that are able to attack the inside of Kansas would make it an interesting matchup.

Then there is Ohio State, I think Ohio State will take out Kansas because of Evan
Turner and his ability to attack a team. The fact that he is soo good off the dribble
and still about 6'7" means he should be able to finish over the Morris twins and be
much harder for Aldrich to slow down. Once you get inside on KU you can work
on their great defense, see James Anderson in the OKST game.

Only downside for OSU, is that I think WVU can handle them because they don't
have anyone physical enough for Butler or Jones.

But yes, to me the winner of the tourny is who whoever can take out Kansas,
if anyone can (as much as it pains me to say it).

How bout those lower seeded teams today huh? Man they really came to play. Murray St and Sam Houston St are both looking good. And by what ive heard Rob Morris got robbed in their game.

We're being forced to watch Wake Forest and Texas right now...too many commercials, ugh.

Good game so far though, I'll watch till the end. The Kansas game looks fantastic though!! It just showed us about 40 seconds and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.

Wake Forest and Texas was a wild game.

My bracket this year has gone to crap already. Im not in a pool so I dont really care anyway. I want to see some huge upsets though.

Vermont over 'Cuse? Haha. Maybe.

The Big East went 1 for 4 today.

That Marquette/Washington game was great!

The New Mexico Lobos didn't play well against Montana. The Grizzlies kicked the crap out of the Lobos, but lost.

The Lobos will have their hands full with the Huskies on Saturday ... if they can still walk.

Well, i'm late to this thread.. My team is UNC, rough, rough year to say the least, everything that could of went wrong, did, and everyone was hurt it seemed like. I think something like 9 players missed 36 games, even Roy said he's never dealt with this many injuries before. I have Kansas winning it all. They have experience, there very well coached and will be a tough out, just a very good overall team. I like Kentucky but they dont have that killer instinct and there very young, i would love to see Kentucky vs Kansas in the NCAA Title game. My Final 4 is Kansas, Syracuse, Nova, Kentucky.

I've established the only way to get myself excited about college football is to just choose a team...Boise State anyone? Thinking about it!!

Same with MLB, I'll be hated for saying this but I really like the Yankees, loved watching them in the WS last year!

Basketball....Nuggets? College....erm, no-one.

Gus Johnson is the most exciting person to ever listen to calling a game. Him and Mr Vitale should have their own wings in broadcasting halls of fame!

Back to Gus, he makes every play exciting and the way he calls things makes you get into the game more.

Yeah, that is the perfect example of Missouri Basketball.. Runs. They can look
capable of beating anyone during some runs then they look like an NIT team during
other runs.

I really wish Ramsey and English were as mature last year as they are this year,
I think with Lawrence, Carrol, and Lyons they would have been very, very good.

It is. English and Dixon are the only two players capable of creating for themselves,
but the ball is always in Tiller or Taylor's hands. Tiller is great on defense but just
piss poor on the offensive end and as good as WVU was at not turning the ball

Oh yeah, and one play that made me lose my mind... Tiller gets the steal and it was a 3 on 1, yet Tiller takes it himself instead of passing and he turns the ball over. Could have cut it down to a 4 point game. Ridiculous.

 3 on 1's and 3 on 2's is MU's biggest weakness, IMO. I see them take too
many 10 foot jumpers, tricky layups, or even have to pull the ball back out because
they don't share the ball well in that situation.

English is a sophmore, so he should be back next year. Dixon, Denmon, English,
Safford, and Bowers should be the starters next year, although we have a solid

He is employed by CBS Sports, Showtime, Madison Square Garden Network, the Big Ten Network, and the Detroit Lions Television Network. He is perhaps best known for his play-by-play coverage of CBS Sports' March Madness. He is the most awesome announcer of all time.

Gus outshines the competition even when he's only 50%... I hope he calls a few more Broncos games this year

 3 on 1's and 3 on 2's is MU's biggest weakness, IMO. I see them take too
many 10 foot jumpers, tricky layups, or even have to pull the ball back out because
they don't share the ball well in that situation.

English is a sophmore, so he should be back next year. Dixon, Denmon, English,
Safford, and Bowers should be the starters next year, although we have a solid
class coming in for being Missouri basketball.

Wow, so Missouri should be a team to watch next year? I think that I am really going to follow them and they got a new fan in me. :salute: Maybe I'll catch them in Boulder next year.

Hey WhoDey.. What a heartbreaking loss for Xavier last night. That was a fun and fantastic game to watch.

I just knew they were going to pull the upset but just came up a tad short.

From what I've read, the team wasn't down or dejected after the loss. The columnist from the Cincinnati Enquirer I follow basically said the team believed it did everything it could to try to win that game, and I mostly agree. There were some stupid turnovers down the stretch that allowed K St. to pull away a bit, but Jordan Crawford announced to the world that he's ready for primetime. I can't see him playing another year of college basketball.

That will go down as one of the best college basketball games of all time. Of all time!

That's good to hear. They put all their heart into that game and I agree that those silly turnovers are what was the difference.

Crawford is an amazing player and a hoot to watch. He and Holloway both were on fire there at the end!

I'm sure they will get a very warm welcome home when they get back to Cincy. I was so pulling for them.

As of right now this ranks as the second most memorable college basketball game I've ever watched, right behind the Syracuse game that went to 6 overtimes last year, and honestly if I weren't a Kansas state fan I would have been slightly dissapointed in the ending.

Yeah, I think they should be pretty good next year. Early on in the season they
might struggle due to lack of senior leadership, but come tournament time I expect
them to be a scary team for someone.

I think next year they end up somewhere better than this year but not quite as
good as two years ago, but should be more exciting since all the play makers
will be guards.

I agree with this.

This game was unbelievable, that deeeeeeeep 3 Crawford hit towards the end of
the first OT was sensational.

Only small blemish, as the announcers were very adamant about, was that Holloway
shouldn't have been on the FT line at the end of regulation... Clemente clearly
tried to and did foul him before he got around the pick and was fouled by Merriwather
during his shot.

i was disappointed in N iowa last night. It didnt seem like they had as much energy to them. Officiating wasnt very good either, seemed like they would let the hard stuff go but would call very minor things either way.

think WV can beat kentucky? Thats a good coaching matchup with huggins against calipari....

I chose Kentucky in my bracket so I still have to go with them... That being said,
John Wall hasn't had to take over a game yet so I'm curious to see if he's going
to soon.

Now, I do think they can get past WV on Cousins back though.. IDK if WV has an
answer for him.

Right on. UK played like crap. Certainly WVA is worthy of moving on. Now I hope they hand it to Duke. :fight:

I despise Duke. They are my Oakland Raiders of the NCAA. I was so wanting the chance for Kentucky to get some final four paybacks.

Oh well.

Go Mountaineers!

Indeed. They're my pick to win it now, although I wouldn't be mad if Butler pulled it out, either. Just no Sparty and no Duke.

I am not a basketball fan by any stretch of the imagination. Gun to my head if I had to pick a college team it probably would be the Tar Heals. That being said, I do hope Butler (I think that is the team. See I do not follow the tourney) wins. Not only because to the rivlary but enjoy upsets. Not necessarly because I love the "little guy", it is because I like that it "busts bracets".

On a sidenote, I hope that President Obama's pick went up in smoke I do not have to see him on Sports Center next year.
