I say NL East Phils, then the Braves next year, but barring major injuries, this team got better after last year, so back to back to back World Series for the Phils.

One Word Doc

So did we, way better. I got three words, Blanton, Happ and Moyer. And who knows how Hamels will do. Doc cant pitch every day. Our pitching is vastly better then the Phils, and the offense is much improved to start out the yr. Phils bullpen is shaky to start out. Good luck, not saying we'll win the div, but we'll be right with the phils all year long barring injuries of course.

No way u have to hope your pitching staff stays healthy, don't get the tomahawks out yet, even though that rookie is a beast.

Mets
Nationals

Ill say Braves get the Wildcard.

Offense is on fire. Polanco has made a triumphant return to Philly at 3rd. Great pickup. Howard is not having too many bad at bats so far which is nice for a change.

I was at the game last night. It was AT LEAST 50% Phillies fans there.

Citizens Bank Park south is a nice little ball park, but I'll still take the original.

And Hamles is still a soft little girl.

I like Baldy, but he won't keep this up for an entire season. Doc has proven over MANY years that he is top notch. And now he actually has a team that can contend for the Series. He will win, unless he gets hurt.

Starting to take control at the right time

Won 9 in a row
Won 13 of 14
Magic number is 6
Went from 3 out to 5 up in less than a month
Hamels was won last 5 with a 0.49 era in that span
Halladay gets 20th win (First time for Phils since 82)
Oswalt is starting to really regain his old form
Lineup is putting up 7 runs a game in September

This team smells crunch time like not too many teams can.

Let's hope those past three years of playoff experience, will be enough to overcome the 15 years of Red's inexperience, but remember what the Reds did to the A's when the A's were supposed to walk away with it... Looks like the injury bug has bit Philly.

They have a LOT of older players, so it's not a HUGE surprise. Everyone in the starting lineup is over 30 or close to it.

They better hope that rotation is all-time good, one of them goes down, they could be in trouble...

Bronco51
03-26-2011, 10:14 AM
They have had Howard, Utley, Rollins and Victorino miss significant amount of time over the last 4 years and still win. That is without this rotation. They will be just fine.

Yeah, they're going to hit .400 the rest of the season and average 7 runs per game as well.

A bit too early to say the offense is great, and Lidge out until the All-Star Break will be interesting on the bullpen.

A ton of baseball left to be played.

7 runs so far sure is better than 3 runs a game. Sure it is early but not digging a hole early only helps. You can't win a division in April, but you sure can lose it by getting behind early. I will take this start and relish it. Now off to Atlanta to let Lee and Oswalt do their thing.:thumb:

Your team is going to be very scary when their bats wake up. I almost think they should put Heyward at 2nd, but I don't what their philosophy for him is yet. Here's to a good season duking it out with you guys:beer:

Yeah, the starting pitching has been great. Lowe has gave up 0 runs, 1 run, 2 runs, and has a 1-2 record to show for it, shows what W/L is.

Offensively it seems like once they get 2-3 runs, that's all they get all game. Heyward should be 2nd, supposedly Fredi said he picks the lineup the first 10, then the players for the rest of the year supposedly. He should be hitting 2nd, then you can't really pitch around anyone 1-5 if that happens.

We're too good offensively to be this bad, a ton of baseball left.
