LOL, only 13.. If Dirk didnt have 4 fouls, i would say they come back.. If they cut it down to less then 5 by the 4th, i will give them a slight chance. We'll see what happens in the 3rd quarter.

Not to be a homer, but I agree with you. I think Adelman deserves some consideration, but ultimately I think Skiles deserves it.

I'm a little disappointed in the Mav's. I thought they would go deep into the playoffs, and I like watching Nowitzki play.

West and Parker are both much better suited for guarding Rondo than Mo is, IMO
I'd almost put Mo on Allen because Allen isn't a huge threat off the dribble.

The Bucks have a great chance at being very talented next year. Brandon Jennings with another year under his belt, John Salmons, the return of Michael Redd, the return of Andrew Bogut. 3 draft picks!

It should be a nice season for the Bucks next year

If there was ever a reason to root for the Suns, it's Grant Hill. He has to be one of the smartest players in league history. Go back and look at his numbers before the ankle. He was arguably the best all around player in the league, reminded me of a more athletic version of Pippen. Now, he's one of Phoenix's key players, and he still manages to make a major impact on the game night in and night out. I think Ginobili is one of the most underrated players in league history, but he and Duncan have won their championships. I'd like to see Hill get one.

I think a lot of people forgot how bad Jameer killed the Lakers in the 2 regular season games. Last year our starting backcourt was Alston and Lee, this year it's Nelson and VC.. Better bench, more experience, we're a better team.. It would be a good matchup for sure, got to get there first.

Jerry Solam seems like a good coach but you have to feel sorry for the guy. He gets a lot of fight out of every player but just can't get the right people to get him over the hump. Every time the camera zoomed in on him as the Lakers were just having there way with his troops, it was such a helpless look... No height, or real defense with both Okur and AK47 out.

Every year since Jackson arrived in LA the only thing the Jazz could hope for is that somebody would take the Lakers out before it came time to play them.

This series is over... There is no way in the world that the Jazz are going to take the next 4 of 5...

Maybe next year Jerry... Poor guy...

GO MAGIC.. It wasnt pretty, but i'll take the win..

It is like the Magic were toying with them for 3 quarters and then Howard stood up, raised his hand like Cesar and put his thumb in a down motion, LOL!

If the Hawks were going to steal a game, it should have been tonight. The Magic played horrible and the Hawks were near perfect. Still lost by 14.

This is a tough pill to swallow for Atlanta. They hit nearly all of their free throws, played good defense for most of the game, all the players that they needed to show up (except Marvin Williams) came to play, and they led for a good portion of the game. IMO, this loss was worse than game 1.

It'll be interesting to see how they recover from this back in Atlanta.

Nash always seems to get hurt like that. In 05/06 Tony Parker ran into his nose and he was gushing blood for the rest of the game and the series for that matter. Robert Horry slammed him into the scorers desk. He has had his front tooth knocked out during a game, the man truly does have a lot of heart and it would be so great for him to get a ring.

No player has played more playoff games without playing in a NBA finals then Steve Nash.

Lakers are amazing, but this Suns team is special.

Exactly. The Lakers will play their typical "Mythological" game plan. Slow the game down, expose the size advantage. The Suns dont have an answer even if Lopez becomes available. The only way to beat the Lakers will be in transition, turning the game into a track meet.

Personally, I wanted the Lakers to face Phoenix in the first round over the Thunder but things some how work out for the best in the long run. I do expect each game to be close but in the end I see the Lakers winning this series in 5 games.

That being said, I'm really impressed with The Magic who haven't lost a game yet - margin of victory is something like 17 ppg... that's real impressive. I like the Lakers in 7, I also think The Cavs will pull through in 7 to beat The Celtics, but I'm still not convinced they can beat The Magic yet.

You sound more convinced than me, and I like in the Cleveland area. The big difference for Orlando is not Carter, it's execution. They are consistently playing smart basketball at both ends. Sure Carter gives them the ability to drive off of the three point line and finish (brutal when you are scrambling to close out), but he still has a tendency to take bad shots, or fail to recognize game situations. I still believe they were a better overall team w/Hedo, but they have been so consistent in this years playoffs that it's frightening. I'll go ahead and say it right now: This Orlando team is better than the 94-95 team.

Charlotte did provide some help though. They showed that Howard can be removed from the game, because of he can be overzealous on the defensive end. The Bobcats just failed to capitalize on that. I also think that Cleveland will be helped by playing the Celtics. They've been forced to play extremely physical with Boston, which they will have to do against Orlando if they hope to win. I think whoever wins the Orlando/Cleveland series is going to win the NBA Title. Depending, of course, on how much Kobe is willing to defer to Gasol, and the inconsistent play of Odom and Bynum.

I keep seeing this same arguement, everywhere. The Laker bigs are going to be too much for the Suns. Slow the game down, the Suns can't win. Completely flip that situation. How are the Laker bigs going to guard the Suns? Did you see what they did with Tim Duncan? They screened, rescreened, mismatch, got Tim on a guard, spaced the floor, and it was a layup or a 3. They will do this all day with 2 7 footers on the floor. Nash/Amare screen and roll will pick apart Fisher/Bynum's D. The Suns have 8 LEGIT 3 pt threats in the rotation, the Lakers have lazy rotations and count on their size way too much.

That being said, I am not a homer who thinks the Suns will win in 4. I think it should be a great series, the bigs will still present huge matchup issues for the Suns, but with the Suns eventually wearing down the Lakers like they did the Spurs, run run run. Make/miss, run. Its a different style of running than the Lakers are used to anyways, its not fast break running. Its up-tempo running to get into the offensive sets.

Anyone who brings up the Suns losses in December hasn't watched the Suns. 2 completely different teams. These games are going to be like the 6 pt difference in the loss in March.

Spurs are old. Duncan and Parker both have AARP cards. I under stand tempo, but the only way for the Suns to play their type of game is in transition. The Lakers shot a tad under 50% against the Suns during the season. Why? Slow ball. Working the ball into the post. Shooting 50% wont get the transition points the suns need to win the series.

I have a hard time thinking you can judge the up coming laker series by sweeping a team who left everything on the court in Dallas including Tony Parkers back. Look at it this way. The Spurs have 7 active contributers over 30. They had to play and push all year to make the playoffs with these guys for 82 games.

On the Flip, the Lakers are much fresher. They have a young bench and limited Fisher,Kobe,Gasol,Odem minutes through out the year to prepare for another championship run. People also forget, OKC tried to run the lakers out of the gym, the suns do not have the youth to play any where close to the run and gun intensity that the thunder had, so the suns turning this series into an all out track meet will not work.

Homer me this and Homer me that, but saying the suns will beat the lakers in 4 times in 6 games WITH Los Angeles having HCA is a stretch but hey, we can root for any team we want.

The suns don't run the same way as the Thunder...

90% of the time the Suns have 4 out of 5 players on the court that can, and
will, make three's when given room. Sure Pau should do solid, not great, against
Amare and barring the return of Lopez Bynum should dominate, but you also have
to understand... Pau or Bynum will have to toe the 3 point line while guarding
Frye
and the other will be having to cover out to 20 feet and constant pick n rolls
on Amare.

I think the Lakers are going to win, and they might win in 5 or 6, but every game
will be close.. Not like the Jazz series where they were up comfortably in every
game, except game 3, all game long. I think the Suns match up much better
against the Lakers than people are thinking.

I completely agree about the Spurs, they are old, you could tell how quickly they got worn down by the 4th quarter in every game. That being said, you can't compare the running this Suns team does to OKC. OKC is the "7 seconds or less" Suns team of the past. That's not what this Suns team tries to establish. They keep the tempo up for the offensive sets. Also take note, in the playoffs so far, the Lakers are averaging more possessions a game than the Suns, but scoring less. That considered, it would be a faster tempo to play at the Lakers pace than what the Suns have been playing at so far.

The Suns have A LOT of youth outside of the starting lineup. I'm going to venture out and say they have the most underrated bench in the NBA, fast, young, and isn't out there to hold the lead or just survive when the starters go out. They are there to push the lead.

Against Utah, a 15 point lead was good enough. Against the Suns, no lead is good enough (or deficit for that matter). I expect it to be a great series, Kobe is still ridiculous, I'm curious to see if Hill can at least keep him human for the series.

Gotta make 1 point on this. Amare was dominated by Bynum this year on both sides of the court.

Also remember, outside of what was it.. Game 2? Amare didn't exactly dominate the old man Spurs anyway. That series was more about Steve Nash and the Phoenix bench.

I'm not too worried, I know Phoenix is playing a lot better ball right now than they have in a long time and I don't think it'll be easy by any means, but the only big we have to really worry about is Amare and he doesn't always play like a big. Is Lopez supposed to be back yet or..?

I really hope it's a competitive series, the NBA needs that right now.

LeBron James doesn't make excuses because what happens with him is unexcusable. This is the second year in a row now that he's going to choke and not get his team to the finals. For the past 3 or 4 years now everyone has wanted to see Kobe vs LeBron, well Kobe holds up his end of the deal.

The man was what 3 for 15 shooting? His first fg was with 6 minutes in the 3rd quarter and it was a cherry pick dunk? Have a nice summer LeBron

LeHype James is the most overrated player in the game. He flops out every year except the one year where they got raped by the Spurs in the Finals. If he was in the WEST his whole career like Durant and Melo he would be playing on .500 teams. I'd take Durant, Kobe, Wade, and Melo over Lebron in a heart beat.

I am so glad that a nickname like "the king" can be thrown around so lightly.

At fools that blame James for everything.

Last year he did everything in his power to get his team to the finals, the Magic
were just better. This year, i hate to bring up the elbow, but come on... watch
a game, something is clearly wrong with him. When he has shot, jumpshots,
these last two games it has been as a last resort and definitely hasn't been
attacking like he did in the first to games or even the Bull series. Again, the
elbow thing is getting really old, because James wants ppl to talk about it, but
it's pretty damn obvious something is bothering him.

not even comparable as to who the best player is right now in the NBA.

You can't say Durant chokes. Melo could do what Lebron has in the EAST. My grandma could carry a team in the East to the playoffs. Lebron is a good player, best in the league? NO. He has the supporting cast the last 2 years yet can't do anything. If Lebron would actually work on his mid range shot he would become the best player in the game. But until that point Durant and Kobe are more complete players.

People can say all they want on the love/hate relationship many seem to have with Lebron, but the team is clearly in a funk right now. This was only the third Cavs playoff game I've watched this year and they looked heartless out there. Very few players seemed to actually care.

You can't pin this soley on LBJ though. It's known what the guy can do, but you can only take a team so far by yourself. This was the whole reason moves and shake ups were made after the '07 season, the Cavs FO realized LBJ wasn't going to carry this team night in an' night out.

No one steps up though when the guy goes cold. No one. Something is clearly up with the guy, he never plays that bad.

This could have very easily been his last game in a home Cavs uniform. Sadly for them fans.

How did Durant do in the Lakers series?? He was piss poor EVERY game. That is
a choke...

Melo could not, Melo isnt in the same league as James, Wade, and Kobe.. He has
no defense, period. Melo is part of the second tier. Really? So Bosh, Wade, Rose,
Jennings, Granger, ect... are all nobodies because they didn't get to the finals
in the East? I understand your point now

Last year he had the supporting cast? It was supposed to be Mo Williams...
Who averaged like 12 points in the playoffs on like 30% shooting.. This year
he has Antwan Jamison, this is his FIRST YEAR with a decent supporting cast
but it's still not not on the Lakers, Celtics, Magic, Nuggets, ect.. level.

No mid range game? Um, he shot 50% on the year, he has gotten better every
year with his jumper. I wish people would watch someone play before they
talk. He is hands down the best player in the NBA right now, its not even close. Kobe is his only competition but he is just too old now, so its not his fault.

I get your points and your probably right. IMO I don't think he is. But I'm not about to call Durant a choke artist yet. The dude has been tearing it up in the West. And I just don't read into all the hype Lebron gets, they act like he is god. But as with everyone there are improvements to be made.

And I wouldn't say the Nuggets have a great supporting cast. They are way too thin and inconsistent. You can only count on Billups and Melo. And in the West 2 players gets you out in round 1. In the East you can survive 1 maybe 2 rounds with that. (Feel free to flame me on this last one, its a homerish, I know)

Here is what Cleveland is famous for:

Gotta love Cleveland fans, always making excuses. Last year when Mo came along, Cav fans were happy, "Oh, we finally got Robin to go with Batman!!" It failed, and out came the excuses. This year, they sign Shaq. "We got Shaq now for Dwight Howard, this will get us into the Finals." Then you guys get Jamison, and again Cav fans proclaimed "No excuses, LeBron finally has the supporting cast." Well, looks like they don't, and again more excuses. I'm not just talking about this board, I'm on other basketball forums and this kind of thinking from Cav fans is like clock work.

Lebron single handly led his team to the NBA finals in 2006. There was nobody on that cavs team worth mentioning.

I dont think there is any player in the NBA other then Leron that can single handly lead their team to the finals. Not even kobe.

I agree. Durant was shut down by one of the leagues greatest defenders. Artest played one of his career best series on defense against the thunder limiting Durant to 33% Shooting. Durant will be back. He needs someone to take all the pressure away from him like a Boozer or Amare.

Now some on James

Commissioner Sterns self proclaimed "King James" has choked each and every time something Major was on the line. The Bronze in the Olympics, the sweep in the finals, the choke job in the eastern finals last year are all signs the "King" is no more then great basketball player who needs a supporting cast to succeed. This is nothing new. The ownership of the Cavs realized this at the end of the 2004-2005 season. Complete rebuild to help Lebron, because when James gets cold, their is no helping his cause. Lebron is far from the most skilled player in the game so he must rely on his pure physical ability to take over a game. The boston celtics defense is does a great job at defending this style of play causing James to settle for a mediocre jump shot.

I have a feeling once out of Cleavland things will change for Lebron but sadly, if the Cavs who have had the best regular season record in the NBA now for the last 2 season do not make the finals, the writing's on the wall for LeBron. After the game the Kings reactions were selfish and shows why he might have played his last game in cleavland

"I'm not an excuse guy," he said. "The fact I spoil a lot of people with my play when you have a bad game here or there - three bad games in a seven-year career - it's easy to point that out."

Talk about being full of yourself. Put your team FIRST!!!

Haha are you kidding me? You laugh at people who blame LeBron for everything? If the man is going to take 100% for every win, then he has to take the blame as well.

LeBron is not a champion, he's not a winner. You say the Magic were better than him last year? Then why did the Cavs have the best team in the NBA record wise? It's cuz the Magic rose up to the occasion, and once again LBJ didn't.

LeBron has brought the #1 overall team into the play offs back to back years now. Last year he wasn't able to get them to the finals, and it isn't look to likely this year either. This man is way to focused on "me me me" rather than the team. He puts more value on his MVP trophies than actually going out there and winning a NBA Finals.

Don't give me crap on the elbow, people only use that excuse when they need to. Nobody said anything about it in Game 3, in fact it was all "Obviously the elbow is better the way he shot the ball today" But when he plays like crap out come the elbow excuses. Kobe plays with a bad ankle, a bum knee, and a broken index finger on his SHOOTING hand.

Kobe put off surgery on his broken pinkey finger for 2 years in order to go out and win a Gold Medal and a NBA Championship, he did both, and now the pinkey is beyond repair.

As far as best player in the NBA...

Why because he won MVP, maybe so but his skill set isn't even close. No i'm not talking about his speed, strength, and ability to jump. I'm talking about his shooting, ball handling, passing, and defensive; skills like that. He is not the most skilled player in the NBA. It is by far Kobe Bryant. LBJ's offensive aresnal is so limited, he is very predictable. He wants to bully his way into the lane, which he is able to cuz god gifted him with such a large frame. If he is unable to get into the lane defenses are very pleased because his shooting ability isn't great, not even close.

He's back to back MVP he has Antwaan Jamison, Shaq, and Mo Williams this year, what more should you need in order to get to the damn finals?

Maybe Jamison you could say even though he's 34, Shaq is 38 the oldest player in the league, Mo Williams, the guy who dissapears in the playoffs, sounds like a great supporting cast to me..

It's not like he has had Shaq in his prime, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Malone, Payton, Artest, Ariza, Fisher, Fox, Horry, etc etc.. Kobe has had great teams his whole career for the most part. Explain this to me..

How does Kobe miss the playoffs with Caron Butler and Lamar Odom..

Lebron willed his team to the NBA Finals with Gibson, Larry Hughes, Gooden and Z as his starting five.

Lebron is the best player in the NBA, Lebron is only getting better while Kobe is on the decline.

If you aren't willing ot say Shaq is a strong member of a supporting cast than you are unable to say that Malone and Payton were for Kobe.

Since 2008 the current Cleveland Cavaliers roster has 4 players who have played in an All-Start game, The Lakers have 2

What happened in the Finals when LeBron got there? What competition did he go through in the East that year? The over aged and unmotivated Detroit Pistions?

What has he done since then? Under acheive? Choke? How else od you want to describe it. Past two years he brings in the best team in the NBA and fails to reach the finals

I'll give you that Kobe missed the play offs...once. Once he makes the finals this year, i believe it will be his 7th appearance in 14 seaons? hmm...

Kobe declining? Well even if he isn't as good as he once was, still better then LeBron.

There are some inconsistencies there. You think Nash is awesome (he is), but you think LeBron is not? Your reason has nothing to do with statistics, or even game play for that matter, but Championships? You praise Shaq (he deserves it), providing that he gift wrapped three titles for a young Kobe and helped Wade get one, but condemn LeBron; explaining that he is struggling to win with Shaq. Nash had Shaq last year.

The reason he is called the "King" is because his last name is "James". This is a fact, not an interpretation.

I agree, Wade is a beast. He should have won the MVP last year. Of course, LeBron should have won it the year before. And Kobe? He should have won one of the Nash MVP's, or at the very least, Nowitzki's. Bottom line is that the MVP award is garbage, just like every other award in the NBA.

With media hype comes hate from other team or players fans. Every few years another player get's juice from the media, and he is hated for it. The haters can't wait to see him fail, so they can put him in the spotlight and detract from him. People who do not live in the Cleveland area do not understand how great he really is night in and night out. I propose that we remove the media and hate from the equation, and respect game. We have some of the greatest players in league history playing right now. Let's all have fun and enjoy it while it lasts. The Kobe v LeBron v Wade v anyone else arguments are redundant, and pointless.

Although you are a Cav's fan, your post was well said. Often times I find myself hating on great players(Duncan, LeBron, Shaq), and I should try and cool down a little bit. Over the years I've gotten to respect Duncan, and no longer hate on him. LeBron and Shaq, not so much. But to be fair, we are in the same division.

. Until you realize the NBA is business, you wont understand why the Celtics and the Suns wont meet this year in the NBA finals

Are you suggesting that the NBA wants to see the Lakers in the finals??

That these playoffs are fixed so that the Finals ends up being a matchup that more people would want to watch??

I used to have that feeling, but if they NBA really was fixed, seems like LeBron would have a title already. So, I'm not sure anymore.

Did you see Glen Davis screaming at the bench after he passed up that jumper? That is heart my man. That's what I see with some of the guys in Milwaukee. Sure, Davis sucks as an individual player, but he brings the team to a higher level. Gotta respect that.

Kobe > LeBron

It's different when Robert Horry wins championships compared to Kobe. Kobe is the main man on his team. He lead the Lakers to the finals and won, even without shaq... (ya that's for all you "he can't win without shaq")

LeBron isn't a winner, doesn't have that killer instinct. He just can't get the job done...

I absolutely loved Glen screaming "I ****ED UP!!!", I love that kind of emotion. I also like how you give props to the Bucks, not a lot of people show them respect. To be fair, we haven't been very good the last few years. As for the Cavs, I'm not sure what they should do. They obviously need better players around LeBron. And a new coach. LBJ deserves better team mates. He is one of the best players in the game, but he can't win a title by himself. Granted, he didn't play well the past 2 games, so it's not all on his team mates. But what was Jamison? Like 2 of 9? Of all the games I have watched of LBJ, I've never seen him play the way he has the last 2 games. Game 5 it looked like his mind was elsewhere, like he didn't want to be there. It was really weird.

To some of you Laker homers. It takes a team to win, LeBron cant do it alone.. IF he stays with the Cavs, they need to get him a legit #2 option, whether it's Bosh, Amare, Wade, etcc.. Should be an interesting summer..

It's not like he has Bynum, Gasol, Odom, Fisher, Artest.. It's funny when things are down, but when it's all said and done, he'll go down as one of the top 5 players of all time..
