So, let's begin....

So, I just got back home from my date, and I took some pics while in the city. But first , a pic from last night, from my window.

Panoramic view of the Windmill Lake ( Lacul Morii ), a man made lake to control the water flow of the Dambovita River...

http://www4.picturepush.com/photo/a/3600887/1024/Des-Experiments%21/Lacul-Morii---Bucuresti---Iunie-2010.jpg

It took me 11 pictures to make this panorama. The lake is quite large, and as a trivia, is the favorite place for suicides and mobsters that want to get rid of unwanted bodies... :D It happened in the past, and that's why now police is on patrol all night long.

Reminds me of the last time i went to the Zoo, there was a Lion and he was walking back and forth against the fence letting off a thunderous roar. Everyone stood there in amazement at his size and how loud he was. My girl warned me that he may spray so we stood back, Unfortunately he didn't. LOL I had my camera ready.

On a side note, i was at sea world yesterday and found out they have black and white dolphins, never knew they existed.

That's right... One of Ceausescu's choices. His cult of personality was too huge for the common people. Next to the People's Palace, is what is now called the Romanian Academy. It was destined to be Ceausecu's wife working place. It's half the size of the People's Palace. Thousands worked, hundreds died to accomplish Ceausescu's big dream. Fortunately he died before people build a huge, and I mean huge statue that was to be visible from each neighborhood of the city... Something like Kim Ir Sen's statue in North Korea.
