George Blanda could have played any position on offense or defense but he was great at what he did. Proof you can play football a long time and live a long and happy life afterwards :thumb:

Wow, this is a sad loss.

George Blanda was a shining example of what a football player should be....tough as nails and a true iron man.

He is a throwback to football that way it was supposed to be, tough men playing a brutal game.

My sympathies to his family and the Raider Nation. You lost a great one.

Sad day. A true legend in every sense. One of those people that shaped and defined the lore of this great sport. R.I.P.

George Blanda was a true Old School football player. 26 years in the NFL. That deserves a :salute:

Hats off to a legendary player.

Sad day. Heart goes out to his family.

Not trying to sound classless, but I'm relieved to see someone from the NFL die from old age for once.

George was a man's man. From Chicago to Oakland, he forged a legacy across the League, and across decades. Sad loss.
