Thanks Rangers. This has been the first time I've got to see my favorite team in a championship game since the days of Elway. Now I hope they can win it all, and I think they will, especially with a fully rested Cliff Lee. And I couldn't feel happier for Ron Washington.

I want to see a Texas-San Fran matchup. I know a few old fogies who are NY Giants fans and followed them to San Francisco. And one of my good friends is a Rangers fan and he is letting us hear it tonight lol.

Well if the Giants make it will be one of the least watched world series. Probably will beat out the White Sox Astros world series.

Yeah of course with two underdog teams that'll always be the case. On the other hand, if the Yankees made it or the Sox, it'll automatically be one of the most watched, as those two teams have a largets MLB fanbase.

I really don't think there is anything more sweet then hearing a YANKEES fan admit they were wrong and that their team wasn't the "BEST" just because you have the most money they showed you can still get your ass kicked ( cause New York did)

Couldn't be happier for Texas way to go Rangers !!! good luck against Philly or San Fran

Nope, I actually won't. A purple vs black pin stripes would be my dream World Series. There is no bandwagon when you are on it when you lose or win.

Here's hoping the Giants win the World Series this year.

My Love For Baseball/Colorado Rockies
Current mood: loved
Category: Life
Its really weird, I can't find it in my heart to wear Giants stuff anymore! I used to cheer for them hardcore. There were times when i would go to games and wear my Giants stuff and heckle Rockies fans. I remember sitting behind Home Plate 3 rows up once and Barry gave me signs all night. He even said hello to me and I got to meet him before the game. I was really tempted to wear my Bonds jersey this weekend sometime but chose Holliday instead. I think my days of cheering for the Giants at Rockies games are over. The Rockies are now my number 1 team overall and number 1 in the NL. The Giants are second and I will root for them when they are not playing the Rockies. I am a huge fan of baseball and like watching any game I can. Today was an awesome game to be at. I got tickets from TicketsQwest on twitter/FB. They were section 147, row 29, on the aisle!! Perfect seats to the left of the Pavilion!! I took my Sister and Nephew. My Nephew is 2 and will be 3 in September. I got him to start doing the TULO chant and he was doing it when Tulo wasn't up to bat at all! LOL! My Sister had a great time too! It is something I will never forget! Being in Coors Field is a calming and amazing experience for me now. It is kinda like a drug to me, when I am there nothing else matters but the baseball game and the Rockies. The last few seasons have made my average Rockies love go to a new passion. I love it and can't wait to see what the future brings!! I am typing this with my 2007 NL Champion shirt on as we speak, something I will never forget!! Now it is time to buy a current Rockies jersey. I am thinking Tulowitzki, Helton, or Hawpe. Or maybe all 3 by the end of the year! LOL

NY Yankees - $206.3M

San Fran Giants - $98.8M

While money does not "buy" championships, I want my team to spend money to put a winner on the field. I personally dislike it when teams do not invest in their profits back into their teams. Some teams payroll is less then what they get in revenue sharing. There is NO excuse for that.

I agree South, but you know the Yankees have outspent everyone for decades.....bring in the salary cap........

BUT they still lost.....

Also, not everyone has that kind of money to invest.

For example the Marlins receive over 60 Million in revenue sharing but only had an opening day payroll of 45.5 Million. That means Florida made 14.5 Million for putting a weak team on the field. Add in the money the make from ticket sales, concessions, tv and radio deals etc.

"Small market teams" have more money then they try to make us think they do. I say of you put in a cap, put in a "Floor" as well.

Dallas is one of the largest TV markets in the country, plus they have a lot of people for a fan base. Hopfully with the new ownership thing will change for them. Let's not forget the Rangers where the team that gave A Rod a quater billion dollars a decade ago.

South....it's cool.....

but if you want most of the same teams "up there" every year, keep things the way they are.

Fortunately, every once in a while we have a season like this, where two longer shots get it on.

But you'll never convince me that the Yankees are playing with the same finances as most other teams. Mabe this is near and dear because your Red Sox aren't afraid to spend some coin as well. Hey, I like Boston, so this is nothing personal.

For me, it's like going back to childhood when we used to have 2 captains alternating who they wanted on their team......except with the Yanks, it's like they get the first 4 picks.

Anyway.....time for the Yanks to start signing some studs...it's whats for breakfast!

Hopefully Texas gets it together. I'm actually glad they actually lost that game. That was a good wake up call for them. You can't sleep on any MLB team like that. Same thing against the Yankees in game 1, they got too relaxed and they ended up blowing a lead and losing the game. They should play better after they get that fire lit under their ass, ala Tampa Bay series.

Renteria wins MVP good series 2 HR 6 RBI's for him. I thought Timmy slim-jim should have won MVP (IMO) opening game 14-Ks final game 10-K's and no runs against the best postseason pitcher the last few years-his only lost in the postseason ever are to Timmy

I would have given the M.V.P. to Sanchez he was solid all series long but oh well Edgar had some big hits

anyone else think Lee wasn't trying that hard ? I do

How wasn't he?

He had a shutout through 6, and made one mistake and Renteria hit a HR who was red hot. If he wasn't trying, he would of been out after 3-4 innings.
