Ya, we'll see, they are explosive but not sure I think they are that great yet.

Also, based on you not having the Nuggets in the playoffs.....

1st Assumption: You have Melo being traded.

2nd Assumption: You don't think we are a playoff team without him.

Correct? Incorrect?

Actually I've already edited that about 15 minutes ago. I was thinking of Portland when I ment to type Denver in. I don't think Portland makes it, they always get piled up with injuries towards the end of the season, I don't think Brandon Roy can do it all by himself.

But to answer your question, I think Melo gets shipped a little after the All-Star break.

Boston kind of coasts through the regular season, so i don't see them getting the 1 seed.

Then who do you think gets the #1 seed? I don't think Orlando or Miami gets it, especially Miami, they have too many key injuries right now. I picture Boston as 55+ win team this season, and looking at their bench, it's just spectacular.

The West is sooooo deep this year. You can always lock in the Lakers, and the Spurs.

Other teams I think could be a lock. OKC, and Portland.

I really like what NO did with getting Ariza. This team looks very solid, Dallas is Dallas, and Utah will finally be healthy all year.

The Suns just get left out in my opinion. I don't like Hedo very much, but I just think they get left out because of how deep it is.

Portland will be very good this year. Specially when Greg Oden is able to be healthy and take a reduced role as a player coming off the bench. Aldridge, Camby, and Oden. Wow.

I think there could possibly be 12 play off worthy teams in the West. Maybe a few more.

In the East there's only about 6 play off worthy teams, that's why I get upset when people think the East (miami, orlando, boston) is better than the West.

I just think the Nuggets get left out. It definitely depends on how the Carmelo deal goes down. Who knows maybe they get a great deal and could move up to a #3 seed.

The East has more teams in a rebuilding process, so that's true. There's more competition in the west by far, not to mention the west is the most interesting a month or two before the playoffs.

In the East it's always the norm, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, etc.. In the West you don't know what can happen.

The Celtics have gotten better as well. They have a very deep bench. Their bench alone could win 30-40 games theirselves. Delonte, Shaq, Jermaine O'neal, Nate Robinson, Glen Davis, Wafer etc.

That's a hella good bench.

As have the Celtics.

They're still without Perkins who is one of the best defensive C's in the game. I say they win Game 7 if he's healthy. Shaq is still out. Jermaine O"Neal gives them 5 deep at PF/C with KG, Perk, Shaq, JO, and Big Baby to throw at LA, Orl, Miami, etc.

Rondo is playing great.

KG looks like he did in 08, finally healthy. Has a lot of strength back in his legs.

IF, IF Boston can stay healthy, i think they win it all. But they have a lot of older players on their team, so we'll see.

Boston is 11-12 deep.

PG- Rondo, Nate
SG- Ray, West
SF- Pierce, Daniels
PF- KG, Big Baby
C- Perk, Shaq, JO

That's a heck of a team 1-12.

Late in the season KG will be able to get away with 20 minutes or less PT. You have Jermaine O'neal coming off the bench and Big Baby. They could save his legs for the post season.

Lakers-3 Heat-4

EDIT: Modified mine to get the Thunder into the playoffs (though I think everyone on their team is overrated). Removed the Blazers (I can't believe in this team anymore, too many injuries, and even when they are healthy they underachieve). I'm just too stubborn to eliminate a Jerry Sloan coached team w/a top quality pg. I'm also assuming that Melo stays a Nugget, and continues to play out of his brain box.

If they keep trying to use Arroyo and Chalmers as the primary PG, they won't

I've been trying to tell people how much Arroyo sucks for years now. He's an And 1 Tour type of player. The biggest problem w/that team is Bosh. He just stands around waiting for the ball. I don't think it's sunk in yet that he's a role player now. If he doesn't start working hard away from the ball, he's going to wreck this team.

Bosh looks lost in every game I've watched, he is still really good but Haslem almost
looks better in there because he understands. Bosh is just a more skilled Haslem
now and he needs to realize it.

Oh no doubt Arroyo is bad and Chalmers is just average, but if those two would
just play like Eddie House and let James handle the ball they'd be set. Watching
the Boston game Arroyo/Chalmers played point til midway through the 3rd quarter,
Miami went down 20. James took over point, got Miami back into the game in a
quarter n a half.

LeBron, swallow your pride and become a PG.
