Okay I used to remember the rules to Baseball. It's been a while though.

How many outs until the Rockies get to bat? It's 4 right? A little help with baseball here please? LOL I'm trying to watch the Rockies game and I am so confused right now... they are using all these technical terms.

The only thing I understand is that one of the Rockies players used to back up Eli manning lol.

9 innings.

A top and bottom.

3 outs each 1/2 inning.

Home team bats in the bottom. Away team bats in the top.

1st Base, 2nd base, 3rd base, shortstop, catcher, right field, left field, center field, pitcher.

3 strikes = strikeout
4 balls = walk

There is your basic info.

Seth Smith Rockies Right Fielder backed up Eli Manning.
Todd Helton Rockies 1st basemen backed up Peyton Manning.

Get to know CarGo and Tulo and Helton.

3 outs per team per inning, 9 innings. Todd Helton backed up Peyton, not Eli.

I was unaware that Seth Smith backed up Eli... what are the odds that we have two players who were both backups for the Manning boys.

Indeed. It's very odd, but cool at the same time. :thumb:

Kind of yes.

Each team gets 3 outs an inning to bat.

So each team gets AT LEAST 27 batters to the plate each game. (unless you are the home team, but still you'll most likely get 27 to have any chance to win before the bottom of the 9th)

If the home team is winning after the top of the 9th, game is over and they don't have to bat in the bottom of the 9th.

If the game is tied after 9 innings. You play until someone wins.

Rockies played a 14 inning game last night. They played a 22 inning game a few years back.

Thank you! I'll cp you when I can again. Right now I'm not able to. May get a Rockies jersey sometime.....
