This is a poll going on, on ESPN right now. So I thought I'd see what everyone thoughts are here.

Obviously it will be biased, but we have a lot of other team fans, as Southy proved with a recent poll.

So whose your vote?

As much as i hate the Phillies, it's got to be Halladay and Lee.

A close 2nd would be Lincecum and Cain.

I thought u meant pitching, the best 3-4 hitting duo i say is Pujols/Holliday.

Talking hitting in this one. ;)

But if you want to start a pitching one, that'd be another good poll to have.

I think Jimenez and De La Rosa is a really good one too. Maybe not the best, but close to it.

That's what I thought the nation might say because they are bigger named players, but so far, 68% have picked CarGo and Tulo. 18% have picked Pujols/Holliday.

When the Sox start hitting A-Gon/Youk will be great.

Yeah. I just put what ESPN had, I didn't think of other 1-2s.

Did you vote Southy? For the best of the ones included?

To not have Mauer and Morneau on this list is ridiculous. Silly ESPN... :nono:

I mean it's not like both of them are former MVPs or anything...

They have a whole article on it. They don't rank in any of the stats in the top 5. That's why the are excluded.

CarGo and Tulo now getting 72% of the vote on ESPN.

Pujols & Holliday - 17%
Fielder & Braun - 7%
Hamilton & Cruz - 2%
Votto & Bruce - 2%

When you look at the #'s it really isn't even close. It's either between Holliday & Pujols -or- CarGo & Tulo.

#'s being: Batting Average, HRs, RBIs, SBs, OPS

I love how everyone is so jealous of the Rockies 1-2, that they refuse to vote for them. :P

Cargo & Tulo now have 75% of the vote on ESPN. The nation knows whats up. :peace:

Pujols and Holliday have 14%.

Go CarGo and Tulo! GO ROCKIES! :salute:

in 2010...

Joe Mauer hit .327
Justin Morneau hit .345

CarGo hit .336
Tulo hit .315

I feel like the only reason they were left out was because Justin Morneau was injured.

If you want to look at their 2009 numbers where they were both healthy

Joe Mauer hit .365
Justin Morneau hit .274

Combined 58 home runs and 196 RBIs.

M&M Brothers > Braun, Fielder / Bruce, Votto / Hamilton, Cruz

It's arguable between the other 2.

But I think the reason CarGo and Tulo are dominating the polls so much is because they are the "hot" item right now 12 games into the season. With all this coverage they are getting they are what are in peoples heads right now.

I don't think CarGo and Tulo would have won this vote at the end of last season (even though the numbers are based off last season)

Not taking anything away from the two. Both great players.

Tulo is getting a lot of attention.....but not CarGo. CarGo hasn't even started hitting yet.

Plus, keep in mind Tulo was injured a good amount of games last year, with him healthy, the numbers would've been much higher.

CarGo and Tulo is definitely the best 1-2 right now. Pujlos and Holliday close behind. And then I'd actually put your boys at #3 probably too, not sure why they left them off after researching them for myself.

That's fair enough.

I'm not here saying the M&M boys are the best in the league. Just think they need to be on the poll.
