ST. JOSEPH | The Chiefs capped a busy day of player personnel decisions upon arriving at training camp by releasing five-time Pro Bowl guard Brian Waters.

“This was a mutual decision between us,’’ Waters told The Kansas City Star Thursday night. “We both felt the time was right. There’s no ill will. There’s no bad blood. I think it’s a good move for both parties.’’

That's not good, not at all.

Although, he was nothing special last year, but he was easily better
than anyone else on the roster.

The Chiefs are suppose to spend money this offseason. Why would they release him?

Brian Waters Reaches Agreement With....The Patriots

We heard that G Brian Waters worked out for the New England Patriots yesterday and we heard later that the two sides were even talking contract. As it turns out, they did discuss a contract because the Patriots just reached an agreement with him. This according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
