2 sacks versus the "famed" Jets offensive line in a situational role. Hmm.. got lucky? Or did we release him too soon before he matured? Either way, more awesome news that not only did the Raiders win but Moss got 2 sacks.

Moss sucks. I just wish Orton's leash was as long as his.

Moss sucks.

Fluke; that's all it was.

The Jets O-Line is mediocre and suffering through injuries, but it is certainly possible that Moss is putting things together..some players take years to develop and "get it", he very may well be one of those players..or it could have been an anomaly, I would probably lean towards the latter..

we gave the guy plenty of opportunities. Shanny obviously gave him a shot since it was his pick...mc'd gave him a bunch of shots especially after the dumervil injury

what he does from now on is moot, because he wasnt going to do anything here.

im pretty sure he was non-existent the last few weeks and last season, so one game doesnt mean hes all of a sudden a pro bowl player..especially in a blow out game where the jets have to pass a bunch and have a banged up o-line

Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery. He didnt play with a complete line in denver like he is in oakland and with a vet like Seymour leading the way.

Good for him! new scenery sometimes helps.

I think that just reinforces the idea that Denver has not known how to develop Dlinemen for a long time now.

He wasn't gonna produce with us, so just let him go. It's one game. I'm not sold.

In all fairness he could go on to be the all time sack leader and we did the right thing....we gave him ample opportunity to succeed here and he never did anything.

Well he plays in the Raiders front seven, which is miles better than anything we've had since he was drafted. Kind of like how any receiver can shine when Peyton Manning is throwing to him

I always thought moss was good at getting pressure, just couldn't finish. I miss him.

For what its worth
Up to now
Can't Imagine him ever being
Knighted by the queen of England.

Moss is an embarrassment
Only looked good in shorts
Shanahan took a chance on him
Sadly it didn't work out.

Moss wasn't the only guy getting to the QB on those sacks. It was lack of execution on the Jets, not something spectacular Moss did to get to Sanchez.

No, Jarvis Moss is terrible.

He showed NOTHING that ever made me think he deserved to practice, let alone play another down for this team.

We gave him every chance in the world to suceed here. The fact he lasted as long as he did here was amazing.

He was involved in three sacks, one solo and two half sacks. He played his sack off today and had a career game which isn't saying much lol. Our d-line is special on most weeks and gives Moss the environment to succeed. To what extent down the road is to be determined.

Moss sucks. He had one good game. The kind of game actual players have every other week.

On his "half sack" that he was involved in, he actually tackled his own player off of Sanchez (Kelly I think it was). Luckily for them Sanchez fell down in fear so they got credit for the sack. I don't miss him :D.

Once Lovie Smith gets fired we should bring him in to coach the D-line.

This ^. Raider's D-line is pretty darn good and that allows lesser known players to get mismatches.

Moss couldn't produce here when playing across Doom, so that should also say how much talent he needs to succeed.

Maybe we could trick the Raiders into trading us Moss for Orton

Fixed...

As for Moss, it's just one game, he has tons of time to prove his worth and never did. Having Seymour mentor some of them is a big bonus.

Oh yea I would take that in a heartbeat.

My point was I would take Moss for Orton.

Shoot I would take a couple of west coast Oak Raider cheerleaders for Orton.

Yeah, and even a broken clock is right twice a day. Moss had plenty of opportunies here, more than plenty.

Raiders DE Jarvis Moss had two sacks in Oakland's Week 3 win over the Jets.
Moss also pressured Mark Sanchez on a handful of other snaps, and played stout against the run. Since arriving in Oakland late in the 2010 season, the former first-round bust has tallied three sacks in eight games after notching just 3.5 in his 34 game Broncos career.
