Game day!!

Game 2 of your 9 game home stand.

Dukie Kyrie Irving is having a great rookie season, and Ty will have to be on top of his game.

Mozzy will dress, but not likely to play.

Faried will start at the 4, and Nene at the 5

GO NUGGETS!

C'mon guys we need to kill this team. They don't belong on the court with us, don't let them hang around and make it interesting...

Sloppy start on offense.

Nene is having trouble.

We are trying to run the offense through him, and well....he just isn't on.

He didn't hear the play on one of Ty's turnovers causing it. Then his shot isn't on tonight. But, he keeps attacking which is good.

Then Jamison has 11 of their 13 points. Faried/Nene need to get out on him.

Well Faried is gonna get grilled in the locker room.

As well as Nene and Al.

SOMEONE COVER JAMISON.

Other than that....let's start winning. GO NUGS

Nene definitely looks rusty tonight and the rest of the team is playing down to the Cavs level. Hopefully we can pull our heads out of our butts lol

On a positive note Bird has been playing really well lately, super active.

If they lose this game a lot of people including myself need to reevaluate the 7-2 and 8-1 home stand predictions. Might need to do that anyway.

Why? Just because of one loss? Cavs aren't as bad as people think either.

I still expect 7-2.

Plus game is nowhere near over.

Yes, this is good. It will boost his trade value heading to the deadline.

I said if they lose. And 13-23 isn't as bad as people think? And this is two consecutive poor home performances against teams they should handle. If they can barely beat the kings and maybe Cleveland then how can you expect them to beat Memphis, Atlanta, okc , Boston and Dallas? Or should I say 3 out of those 5? 4 if they lose tonight.

Possibly package Dre and Bird for something? I have no idea what we'd be able to get though..

I like our depth up front with Koufos, Mozzy, Nene, and Manimal.. Maybe we could get a solid back up PG? I want Ty to take over full time.. I think he's ready

So negative.

It's one game.

Boston got blown out by 30+ guess they are the worst team in the league.

And yes, Kyrie has been a huge boost to this Cavs team.

Boston lost to a good team on the road. Not the same thing. And I'm not being negative. Just saying 7-2 and 8-1 may have been premature projections.

It wasn't supposed to be what you think will happen.

It was supposed to be what you would consider a good home stand.

DenverBlood
03-07-2012, 09:20 PM
Well 6-3 would clearly be a good home stand. Anything higher is bonus. But yes you are correct I forgot the point of that thread.

Also, I feel that there's an overwhelming loss of energy now that we're cutting down the Manimal's minutes in favor of Nene.

Was never big on Nene because he's injury-prone and sometimes too soft.

Meh.

It's a loss. Kyrie bested us. We played poorly. Nene and Faried were garbage on defense. Kyrie bested Ty.

Don't over reacted. A 7-2 home stand is still our goal. We're fine. Bad loss. You move on. That's all you can do.

Faried got benched tonight because of how badly Jamison was beating him.

If he would've played defense, I'm sure he would've gotten more minutes.

Eh. I still would've preferred the Manimal's energy as opposed to Nene's stupid one-armed defense (outside from a nice block) tonight.

Our rotation could get very, very messy once Fernandez, Koufos and Mozgov return.

It'll be interested to see what kind of adjustments Karl makes.

Pretty much everyone will lose minutes besides Lawson probably.

Bird won't play anymore. Rudy, probably not much.

I would love to get Chandler back, but it looks like he'll only be playing for us if he gets a long-term contract, and he ain't gonna be cheap

Wow. Get home from a long day and I see we lost to the Cavs. Can someone recap what the hell happened :(

Key points:

7 TO night for Ty

Terrible defense by Faried on Jamison early on. You didn't see much of him after that.

Nene terrible defense down the stretch. He was afraid of Kyrie or something, fouled him and moved away. Nene did have a powerful layup down the stretch though, but his defense was horrendous.

Kyrie just kept running through our defense and laying it up for and 1. Nene had multiple chances to step in front and take a charge or just take a hard foul, and didn't do any of those.

Terrible 3 point shooting night.

Lawson missed a layup at the buzzer to win it.

Pretty much. He had some good offensive moments, but nothing on defense. Hastings was ripping on him constantly, asking what the hell he was doing.

And yes, Lawson had a layup at the end, that he just missed. A little contact with Kyrie, but they won't call that at the buzzer.

Yeah it sucks. But, the team can't linger on it and just needs to move on and make sure the rest of the home stand isn't tainted by this loss.
