Interesting! Wonder who is taking his spot?

Looks like Carlos Torres is taking the rotation spot.

LOL! But wait...I thought they were trying to build a good clubhouse culture. I expect the locker room to fall aprt completely now!!!

Looks like we gonna eat his half a million contract? I mean, really, who's gonna trade for him when they know we'll release him?

Way to go O'Dowd!! More #winning!!!

I was reading an interesting point while perusing the DP on Moyer.

Comparing Moyer to Ubaldo: Moyer has a lower ERA (5.70 to 5.79), almost the same amount of innings (2.1 fewer), more strikeouts (36 to 33), and far less walks (18 to 42). All of this pitching mainly in Coors.

The thing that really led to his cut? His age. He obviously doesn't have nearly the upside of Ubaldo, but it does suggest some team might take a flier on him, especially a sabermetrics team.

All in all, we did need to go in a different direction. Loved him here, but it wasn't working out.

That and it makes me smile to see he is out-pitching Ubaldo.

If we actually can trade him, I'll be surprised. But at least we won't have that bum in the rotation anymore :D

I am so thankful that he is gone.

Didn't like the signing, and he wasn't good at all. Give the younger guys their reps.

Good guy, great career, but he is done. 49 years old, hang it up and be proud. Very impressive.
