I slept on this kid! i hope he continues to florish!!:salute:

Quinton Carter of the Broncos had to have stepped up to the podium after practice Thursday with a little bit of a smile on his face.

He finished off his rookie year with two playoff interceptions.

“That really boosted my confidence coming into this next season,” Carter said.

As the Broncos fourth round draft pick in 2011, Carter was another rookie that really stepped on defense. He played in all 16 games for the Broncos and had 56 tackles, and 1 sack.

Carter said that he played more during his rookie year than he expected to.

“Yeah, definitely played more than I thought. When I got in, I feel like I made a few plays, but I left a lot out on the field.”

In OTA’s thus far, the Broncos safeties have been rotating in and out between both safety positions. Everyone needs to know everything in the secondary is Jack Del Rio’s philosophy.

Cornerback Chris Harris told the media Wednesday that the defense picked off Peyton Manning five times in practice. When asked if he has picked off Manning yet, Carter shook his head in disappointment.

I have zero,” Carter said. “It seems like everyone else has some except me.”

His time will come in practice, and his time appears to have already arrived in games. The playoffs were proof.

5 picks on Manning...damn (understandably it's gonna take some time to gel) but I really hope overall that's more indicative of our D

Not worried as I think Manning will regain form but 5 picks is alot

I don't think it's something to worry about...

To me it shows that our defense is gelling really well.

I'm sure the practice throws arent conservative and peyton takes more risk than he would in games
