Rodgers has too much potential s owe don't want to just release him. No more options, and he'd for sure be picked up. Thinking we are hoping he turns it around and keep him, or turns it around enough to get something for him.

Tracy is the moron who puts him in, in the 9th, in a 3 run game. We had a full, rested bullpen, and TRACY chose him. Tracy is a moron.

I like Rodgers. He's frustrating as hell, but love the potential. But, he's the most shaky pitcher, and you put him in the 9th, in a manageable game? haha

Man, hitters are getting cold all at the same time.

White had a decent day today. Really got hurt by Trout/Hunter, but kept the rest in check relatively. I'm excited to see Francis tomorrow, guy was a fan fav. back in the day, nice guy, and hopefully can bring SOMETHING to the table.

Injury updates:
-Ramon Hernandez is running and throwing, but not hitting.
-Nicasio had his knee drained and said it is coming along nicely.
-DLR is pain free but will wait a few days before playing catch. He was shut down a second time because of swelling, but there was no structural damage.
-Herrera is playing in AA on a rehab assignment, but was pulled because of hamstring tightness. They think it is minor and should respond to a few days off.
-Chacin is pain free and is building strength. Good news, but he is a long way off from returning.

To make room for Francis, Rockies designated Esmil Rogers for assignment.

So they probably put him in last night as a last audition......in a close game......like we had already lost....

Man, did they get anything but singles? Just couldn't fool a single hitter and was jabbed to death.

Glad we thought another softy tossing lefty was the answer.

Man, I really could manage this team sooooo much better than O'dowd. And normally, I wouldn't be so naive to think that. But the dude is a complete and utter moron.

21.60 ERA for Francis. HAHAHAHA

Without CarGo.....I wouldn't probably even watch this team right now.

Just way too depressing of a pitching staff and coaching staff.

Dear Dan O'Dowd,

I hear your signing random guys off the street to pitch. Give me a shot, I could do better than these guys.

Getting ready to leave the stadium. This break in the action snapped me out of the haze I was in. Glad I got to watch Francis throw batting practice. So many things wrong with this team. And I get to watch it all again tomorrow.

Broncoholic3233

Pitching is what's wrong with this team. Plus our GM, our coaching staff as well. Oh, right...you said many. :(

Our offense is 4th in MLB. 2nd in NL. We are getting good offensive production. Just not good enough to keep up with the horrid pitching.

Bronco51
06-09-2012, 04:28 PM
Those numbers are a tad misleading. They rake when they are at home. But are dead last in the NL in average and runs away from Coors. So, yes the pitching is problem 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. But, the hitting is not consistent at all either...outside of Cargo.

Averaging close to 4 runs per game on the road, isn't that bad.

Giants or Dodgers or Padres score 4 runs per game....that's very good.

Then we average around 6 runs per game at home or so.

So they do have a gap, but they are pretty damn good overall.

Nationals are 26th in runs per game, and have one of the best records in baseball.

But the problem is that they can score 12 runs then be shut out the next two. So they average 4 runs a game but still lose 2 out of 3 but the numbers look okay. And that seems to be how they roll. Feast or famine. And they don't feast as much as they need to. But not many teams can hit enough to overcome the pitching. So I am just looking for some consistency.

Can we fire Apodaca already? Obviously what he is doing isnt working.

Lets see what Bo McGlaghlin can do. He is doing a fantastic job with the young arms in AAA

It's a.beautiful day here at the park. Good crowd, and then the Rockies showed up and ruined it. I swear I can't expect them to even play decent ball anymore. It's a miracle when they do. But judging by all the folks and beers I see.....it ain't changing soon.

Colvin's having a hell of a series. Our outfield has been money this year.

As of right now, only 3 teams other than the rockies have scored 7 or more runs and they all won. That's the most frustrating thing about the rockies. It seems that either the pitching is top notch (not often this year) and we can't get runs, or the hitting is good and we can't get an out. They play half of the game well, or they play half of the season well. When is the last time we have played like an above average team the whole season?

Not to mention, only his first ejection of the year. Stand up for your damn team.

We need a manager with fire.

You think Jim Leyland would have done this the way Tracy did....

I wish he would have worked out here. He is a good manager. I think he saw how this organization operates, then he opted not to waste his time

I was at today's game too. Glad we scored runs, but our team still sucks. Apodaca needs to teach some of our pitchers other secondary pitches. That's what happened with Hammel in Baltimore. MLB superstars like Verlander and Kershaw have a variety of nasty pitches. That's what we need.

Espn has us as sellers for the trade deadline. Potential guys to move were Betancourt, Cuddyer, and Belisle.

With our management, I would be surprised if we weren't buyers. They seem to think we are a #5 pitcher away from the playoffs...

I wouldn't think we would trade Cuddy.

Betancourt is as good as gone. Belisele, Scutaro, Hernandez and Giambi could go also.
