Texans signed LT Duane Brown to a contract extension.
Terms are not yet known. Brown, Pro Football Focus' sixth-rated tackle and second-best left tackle in 2011, was entering the final year of his rookie contract. After the Texans allowed starters Mike Brisiel and Eric Winston to walk in the offseason, locking up Matt Schaub's blind-side protector up became a necessity. Expect Brown to be part of a top-10 offensive line once again this season.

The numbers aren't available yet, but I'm assuming its a decent deal.

Is this going to give Clady some more leverage?

It may.

That said, Denver just doesn't have a reason to comply with Clady's requests. It's not that difficult to get the performance they are receiving from Clady.

Hopefully, though, Clady's game comes back to how we know it and he is justified and Denver pays him.

The biggest difference is that Brown hasn't missed a start since he was drafted, I believe.

True, I'm trying to say he's never been injured.

But, then again, that works for Clady too, the fact that he started all 16 games after a huge injury.

EDIT:
And apparently I'm wrong. Brown only played in 12 games in 2010.

EDITEDIT: here's why I was wrong,

Heading into his fifth season, Brown has started all 60 games he has played in for the Texans.

Clady better have a good year like he's hoping, still don't know if i'd give him Joe Thomas money though.
