View Full Version : My First Broncos Game (BETTER than expected)

So this last week (At Kansas City), I attended my first Broncos game. My first NFL game at that. The atmosphere was so different than expected.

Things that surprised me:
Chiefs fans (most) are actually very respectful and nice.
We were greeted by a lot of chiefs fans asking where we came from and if we come very often. We were offered food many times and beer. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting that. I figured the rivalry would make people a little uneasy.
The View (From a very high seat)
I went into the stadium expecting to barely be able to see the players and what not since we were in row 20 of the top section. That was NOT at all the case, and Like a chiefs fan told me before the game, there isn't a bad seat at arrowhead. The seats were GREAT. I got some great pictures and the feeling the game gave was unbelievable.
The amount of Denver Fans
Ok, lets be honest here. It's an NFL game. There are going to be fans from both sides, but WOW, were there a lot of Denver fans there. I drove all the way up from Dallas and arrived the night before. My friends and I went to the mall and were stunned by how many Denver fans were out and about. Took a lot of pictures with fans and met a few pretty cool people, so the experience was awesome.
WHAT? Parking was only $27 and it wasn't in stop and go traffic??? Is this just the stadium layout or if you go early enough you don't have to worry about parking? I was totally surprised.

Things that DID NOT surprise me
Ok, I can't really talk here because even I was feeling pretty good towards the end of the game, but as expected you had a lot of drunk people. Some were fun to watch.

Hmm that is really about all that did not surprise me haha.

Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures I took

Just thought I would share my first game with everyone. How was your first game. I would imagine most of y'alls were in Denver.

KC has a nice stadium/parking lot layout. I was rather impressed when I attended a game there.

STL is a mess. Don't come here willingly until (I'm hoping/guesstimating) 2016 or later when we have a new stadium built with football fans in mind.

Considering how old Camarohead is, it still has all the appearances of a new stadium. Now, I imagine it lacks the amenities of the newer mega-stadiums, but still a nice place.

I was at arrowhead last weekend too. One of my favorites. If you ever get back again check out the tour the day before the game. For $12 you get to go all over the stadium (even onto the field).

Sounds like an awesome time! And that's awesome they were all so friendly.

My first Denver game was sadly the game at home against Oakland a few years ago when they were absolutely blown out.

Great write up and pictures man! I noticed how low to the field you are considering you're in the top section... Then I realized how the stadium is angled... That's a pretty sweet design...

Thanks, Yea the seats were amazing considering how high we were. It was just an awesome experience. I hope to go to a playoff game. I'm in Dallas so if we happen to play Houston at home, you better believe I'm there. Also Louisiana isn't far so if we can make it to, well, you know :P I'd LOVE to go to that also.
