Not.

This team is a freaking joke. Lost nearly 100 games and have done absolutely nothing to improve.

Meh. I don't think I could get excited even if we were.

Weren't we considered one of the best off season improved teams last year? And look how that turned out.

Honestly I would rather get back to having one of the best farm systems and build from within.

Be grateful. The Cubs signed 2 pitchers who are coming off 2 Tommy John surgeries, and a 3rd ok pitcher to a 4 year $52 Million contract

I've all but given up. Our owner clearly doesn't care about the team.

This is gonna happen to Coors Field eventually:

At least the Cubs front office gives a damn.

Can't say that about our crap for brains owners.

I don't think our FO cares. We have no 3rd baseman, no backup 1st or 2nd basemen, no quality pitchers (they're all .500 or so), no catcher, and a mediocre RF. They can't even attract average utility players. Atleast before we had an all-star 1st and 3rd basemen and pitchers

Still haven't bought any tickets. I want too because I love baseball....but I just can't give the monforts my money. :(

Hopefully I don't cave...

They signed:
Edwin Jackson
Nate Schierholtz
Scott Baker

There's 3 guys who have, at worst, had a bit of success in the MLB.

We signed:
Jeff Francis
We traded for:
Wilton Lopez
Ryan Wheeler (but we had to give up one of our best relievers)
Plus we waived another good reliever. (Josh Roenicke)

Like The Experience said, at least the Cubs care.

I think the cubs at least care to try... it still never works out for them. The Rockies upper management thought it was more useful to spend the off season going on radio and TV shows to talk about how they care instead of acting like they care. Here's to hoping for long deep runs by the Avs and Nuggets to shorten that gap to Training Camp this year.

#Rockies offer pitcher Jhoulys Chacin two-year, $65 million contract, pending physical: http://dpo.st/1201KM6 by @troyrenck

The Rockies like Chacin so much, we've decided he's worth 32.5 million a year. ;)

What. The. Hell.

I like Chacin too but really?

Monforts tried to make a big splash by signing Torrealba to a minor league contract. World Series here we come!! :/

It was a typo, just so you know. :P

It's 6.5 for 2 years.

Also, I love the Yorvit signing. He calls a GREAT game and that is where Wilin struggles. PERFECT mentor for Wilin. Probably won't make us better this year, but it will make Wilin better.

Oh I think he would make the Rockies better immediately, because he doesn't pass so many balls and he communicates better with pitchers. If Rosario plays as bad as he did last year I bet Torrealba will be starting by July.
