We already knew JaMarcus Russell had dropped a significant amount of weight in his ongoing attempt to jumpstart his dormant NFL career.

Now some photographic proof from the football clinic where Russell has been putting in work for months.

Its easy to just slam someone, but I think he deserves a second chance and he will get it.

He has the talent to be a starting QB, and has worked hard to get back in shape.

When you have QB's like - Kyle Orton, Tebow, Brady Quinn, Drew Stanton, etc...... going into TC with a team then JR will for sure.

Does he have the dedication to make it work ? I'm not sure either way.

That will be up to him, but he deserves, and will get, a chance.

I saw the interview of Jeff Garcia (who helped train JR back into form ....allegedly) and Jeff claims that Jamarcus has a new focus. He said JR's dad has been present for the training - every day - and is partly the reason JR has been able to stay on the rails through his training.

Although Jeff presents this as a positive thing - I can't help but think of it as a negative - the man is in his late 20s? And can't keep focused without his pops guidance. It's good he has someone and it's good that he's responded well - but it doesn't exactly instill confidence in me anyway.

I don't hate the guy - he's an EASY target - but I'm actually pulling for him though now that he's no longer a Raider

If I was a team with no QB I would give him a shot. Cardinals IMO would be the best fit.

Agreed...............but.............If he's improved as a quarterback then I don't want to see him in the afc west.
If he's the same type of quarterback-then that makes our job one less team to deal with in the west/

Why does he deserve a chance? As Bronco fans it can only be because of what he did to the Raiders!

Kyle Orton is in his own right one of the best backups in the league and Tebow turned out to be substantially better. All burger boy did was to diss his team, be lazy, feel entitled...

Jamarcus Russell has 19TD, 23int, 1 lost fumble and a QBR of 65, and you would take that over Tebow that has 29TD, 9Int, 2 lost fumbles and a QBR of 75, and has taken the at the time worst performing team to the divisional round of the playoffs.

Sorry there must be an agenda!
