Yeah everyone should've stayed away from him. He isn't a good player to use for fantasy teams. He isn't flashy and doesn't put the kind of numbers you want from your starting QB...nor a bye week back up.

He'll have big games, but it's not like last year under Arian's pass-happy playbook. The Colts new offense is far more ground-centric, short, controlled passes and screens. We are a power running team now, not the best team to glean a fantasy QB from.

Today Luck has just shy of 300 yds 2 TD's (and 1 was taken back due to O-line penalty).

Sophomore Slump

He's 3-1 this year, 14-4 in his career. This fantasy football garbage is ruining NFL fans. Hate it. It's making football fans ignorant.

Losing Donnie Avery is bigger than people think, i'm still kind of shocked they let him leave. TY Hilton is only in his 2nd year and still learning. Avery helped take pressure of Wayne last year which they miss a little bit, and there line isn't blocking as well at times. Defense is still a work in progress

I felt like he did a good job last year but so far this year his supporting cast has done a lot more. He turned it around after i made this thread though. I would agree that he's having a harder time this year

I totally forgot about the change of offenses when I drafted Luck.

Avery kept dropping passes. Several big ones too....

I'm assuming that he had the same issues in practice. We have a decent 2nd year WR with an apparently high ceiling in Lavon Brazil, who has been suspended for the first 4 games. He's a small, speedy receiver with good hands. Nothing to get excited about IMO but Brazil should help open the passing game up.

I certainly would NOT start Luck (in your fantasy league) in week 5. Seattle ......'nuff said.

Well, wins don't show how good a QB actually plays. I agree with you though, people are often too wrapped up in their fantasy teams to realize what makes good football play. People whine because a FB or short yardage specialist who's a better short yardage back takes goal line carries from the stat of the feature backs they have on their fantasy teams, and other things. It's part of why I don't play fantasy.

A team having balance doesn't mean a QBs in a sophomore slump certainly.

I concur. You can have good QBs that have crap seasons (e.g. Elway, Peyton Manning) and bad QBs that have awesome seasons (e.g. Trent Dilfer).
