Well here we are Broncomaniacs,

the day we had circled on the calender since the schedule was revealed.

Broncos vs Colts. We are at 6-0 the Cols after a Monday night loss are 4-2, but they do have wins
over the 49ers and Seahawks. This will not be any easy game by any means.

Our mightily struggling D gets a boost in the return on Von Miller at last. Hopefully he will make a positive impact on his return. :goz: We need him to get the pass rush going!

There have been a war of words as Jim Irsay had some comments to say in reference to their lack of more Super Bowl rings, upon which John Fox in defense of Peyton answered in kind.

Let us look at some of the numbers
For the Series the Broncos are 11- 8 vs Indy, but 5-5 on the Road vs Indy
In the post season we are 0-2 vs them, both losses we got torched by our current QB Mr. Manning

An item to give pause is our game 7 record in recent years.
In the last 10 years we are 1-9 in games sevens our worse of any week. We lost 5 away games and 4 home games.
In fact we had lost 9 straights game 7s in a row until we beat the Saints in a home game last years.

Luck is good and Indy has been playing better on Defense. Our defense has played poorly to put it nice. Romo torched us and we gave up 180+ yards to Blackmon of the winless Jags last week. If we didn't have the offense we had we would be getting killed for having such a poor defense under Fox & Del RIo two defensive minded coaches.

This game makes me nervous. Peyton will be a little emotional and he spent years there trying to throw it to guys in white jerseys, not the Orange. We need to play our A game. On offense, defense and special teams. I will be on pins and needles the whole time.

Win Lose or Draw it should be a tough game.

As always please follow the COC, report any violations to the Mod Staff so they may respond. They do a great job of trying to keep the peace. Let's hope we stay healthy and end the day with a "W" and make it to 7-0 GO BRONCOS :logo:

I'm hoping for our best game of the year...no turnovers, great defense, great run game and no injuries.
And of course, I want our QB to put up "Star War" numbers the likes that Irsay has never seen.

Indy has a good team, probably the best team we have faced all season. It's going to an exiting game, no doubt.

On offense, I just don't see how their defense can stop us. Manning is going to be lazer focused and I expect him to play very well. I think Moreno, Welker, and J Thomas have a big night.

On defense, I think Von Miller's return is the shot in the arm we need and I think he'll have a big night. He may not sack Luck a lot but he will get consistent pressure and create opportunities for some other players to get to him. If Woodyard plays, we will have all of our starters on the field for the 1st time all season. The stage is set for our defense to play lights out.

On special teams, one word, Holliday! He is due to break one.

This game makes me nervous.

No reason for that. It won't change your life.

Good thing he'll be throwing to guys in white jerseys; it is an away game after all. ;)

Also, giving up 180 yards to Blackmon isn't a crime. Just because he plays for a "winless" team doesn't mean he's anything short of a super-talented receiver.

So pumped for this game! Lets dominate these Colts and show Irsay it was a mistake to let PM go!

Go Broncos! :goz::logo:

Regardless of the outcome, he didn't really make a mistake. It was a smart business decision. A risky one, but it's one that was necessary based on the circumstances. No one could have predicted the future.

Prediction: Von gets 3.5 sacks, Trevethan gets a pick, DRC gets a pick, and Champ gets a pick :)

Been waiting on this one since the schedule came out. I think if we win today, the Broncos are going into the bye at 8-0. I'm also calling a major upset: The Chief lose today to the Texans with their first time starting QB, and the Broncos have sole possession of 1st place by the end of the day...

hopefully on D starting tonight n going forward we start covering better b/c luck is very capable of putting up a lot of points...pass rush will be needed, stop the run n hopefully get a turnover or 2...

Kind of random, but are we 1-9 in our last 10 Game 7's? or our last 10 games on week 7? Cause last years Saints game was on week 7, but was game 6. So I guess its week 7. Either way, thats kind of a crazy random stat  Hope we win again today

EDIT: Actually, nevermind. For some reason I was thinking we were 2-3 going in to the Saints game but duh, I remember we obviously wern't cause we were 2-3 going in to the SD game

It would be more of an advantage to have the roof closed IMO. A bit louder with the acoustics that way. They're opening it up for a cool, clear beautiful night to show off the gem of our downtown due to the (likely) record ratings for this SNF game.

Then he's stupider than I thought. It's a late game, so sun won't be a factor for anyone. That leaves weather and crowd noise. By opening the roof, he diminishes the crowd noise that would have echoed with it in place.

Why would you do that?

I know Peyton always preferred it closed, so maybe it is simply going against that thought process. I'm glad it's a night game so that horrible sun/glare won't be there.

THTMB was never as loud as the RCA Dome, so I'm not sure sound was a major concern to start with, I guess he's banking on cooler weather and maybe some wind.

Don't ask me what's going on in his head.

....and you're right, the 'ol RCA dome was incredibly loud, among the loudest in the league. The new one, the acoustics just aren't there.

It will be windy (15-25MPH), but I'm not sure how wind affects the field there. Never been to a game with the roof open.

I'm in a real dilemma that I cannot solve...

For me, the game starts at half past 2 in the night, which means I won't go to bed before 6. I'll have an exam at 11. What shall I do!?

I'm a PhD student, and went to a science conference in Switzerland during the Baltimore game. It was a 6-hour time difference from the east coast. That game was at 2-something AM swiss time, then got extended over half an hour for lightning. I made it until the end of the first half. I woke up and found out Denver had won and Peyton threw 7 TDs.

Don't miss it!!

A little surprise that it came down to the last 30 seconds for Redskins to clinch the win with Cutler out.... this was the game I should've turned to three hours ago.

I thought Foles would be good against Dallas..... I will never pick the Eagles to win anything the rest of the season. I watched the Eagles/Dallas game to start and it was so boring I went right to sleep....

The penalty called in the NE game is a new rule (different than 'leaping'), just added this year. IMO, the refs call was against the spirit of the rule. Looked to me like the NE player wasn't shoving his teammate from behind, he ran into him and was jockeying for position to get a look at a block attempt. In that situation, that call simply shouldn't be made.

The NFL points out, this is not being called, so they do there job and call it. If the NFL makes it a point in this weeks tape its because there was a deficiency in calling it and it has been corrected to match the rules. Sucks for the Pats they are the first, but who cares it's the Pats.

I agree it was a weak call, but bigger picture, the Pats don't look amazing on offense and the defense is banged up. Geno looked good out there. The announcer just said the Chefs have the best defense in the league. Is that really correct or is he just exaggerating at teeny bit. If they really are the best, I truly don't fear having to play them. Our offense will cut them to pieces.

They probably do. They are having a down game IMO, but we can still score on them...maybe not 30 in KC but still.

Wish I could watch the KC game. Maybe Houston can pull this out being down only 1 point.

He's not the best in coverage but excellent in Run D. (Irving)

Only 4 CBs active -- Bailey, DRC, Harris & Webster. Omar Bolden can fill in if needed but DEN obviously doesn't expect much 4-WR from IND.

This is odd IMO. The recipe for attacking Denver in recent weeks has been to widen the field with 4-5 wide...

Also pretty clear that Webster has beat out Carter from this point on

If the Chiefs stack up defenders on one side against Peyton like they are now, look for a lot of bubble screens when we play them
