Hello Broncomaniacs,

Here we are again, same as 2 weeks ago - for the division.

Let's start this thing off

How do we do in Week 12 games, we are 5-5 over the last 10 years
Of the 5 wins 4 were on the road and 1 was at home, of the 5 losses 4 were on the road and 1 at home. SO we 4-4 on the road and 1-1 at home. Not that great.

Speaking of not that great, that was last Sundays game. Amazing how much sports media was on the Patriots jocks after that game. Forget that there were 11 fumbles in the game, forget that the Pats gave up over 250 yards on the ground. The game plan was to run and pound the ball not have Manning try to throw it all over and it was working. They talk of cold playoff games, If not for one bad FG the Pats would have lost their last two playoff games in Jan to the Ravens. Last Sundays game came down to who would make the last mistake and it was Welker not signaling in time.
SO we need to regroup and try to win in Arrowhead. :goz:

The Chiefs D has been losing ground the last two week, Denver torched them and Phillip Rivers burned them at home last week. So either Denver will lose two in a row, or KC will lose 3 in a row (two at home) Some big stakes here. Justin Houston in out Tamba Hali is questionable. That should hopefully make it a little easier. Manning went un-sacked two weeks ago thanks to a game plan where he got the ball out in about two seconds and the O-line held up. We get the passes short, but maybe we will have time to let them develop more. One thing we do know is that it will be loud.

The Chiefs lead the overall series 56-50 (On the road the Broncos are 16-36 in KC)

It hurts that Wolfe will be out, but on the bright side:
Coach Fox visited the team, Champ will be back on the field and it looks like Moreno and DRC will be on the field. Let's hope it is enough to turn the game in our favor. As I said many times earlier, only the Broncos can really beat the Broncos. The mistakes we made have cost us in the Colts and Pats game. Mistake this week can cost us the number one seed.

We need to play aggressive but smart. We need to also try to keep Moreno healthy after the wear and tear he has been subject to as of late. Which is hard because every other running back can't hold on to the damn ball. Let's hope Manning can have a great game.

Manning, Peyton TDS 36 INT 7 YDS 3,722 RTG 114.5

Win Lose or Draw I hope it is a good game and we don't have any further injuries.

As always please follow the COC, report any violations to the Mod Staff so they may respond. They do a great job of trying to keep the peace. Let's hope we stay healthy and end the day with a "W" and make it to 10-2 and take a step to winning the west and the #1 seed GO BRONCOS :logo:

A lot of pundits are surprisingly picking the Broncos. Not only that, but most are picking them to cover the 3.5 points they are favored by.

I could see a 35-20 score. KC's offense looked a little better the last two weeks, and Denver's D will be a little softer in the middle without Wolfe and Vickerson. Von has been stepping up though, and with Champ, Harris, and DRC all playing, Smith may have trouble throwing.

I got a bad feeling about this game. Not sure if it is the bad taste I still have from last week or what but this is the first time all year I have felt like this before a game. I still think we can and will win, and I am definitely picking the Broncos to win but I just feel weird about this game for some reason. With all that said here is to the Broncos hopefully proving me wrong and completely dominating.

Just about 10 hours to go!

like the 1st game we must contain Charles n von needs to show up like he did in NE n we must win on 3rd down get off the field...I expect them again to spread both Charles n mccluster out again hope we can hold up in coverage on them...

offense NOOOOO turnovers, td's in the red zone, keep PM upright, run the ball for least 120+, be great on 3rd down n no dumb penalties...

need ST's coverage to be great again vs mccluster n demps cant give them short field or worse return TD...

must win lets goooooo

The Broncos are expected to place cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and tight end Julius Thomas on their inactive list for their game today against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rodgers-Cromartie has a jammed shoulder. He is expected to be replaced by Champ Bailey, who will start for only the third time this season. Bailey has missed nine games with a left foot injury. The Broncos are also expected to give plenty of playing time to rookie Kayvon Webster, and possibly veteran Quentin Jammer. There’s also a good chance the Broncos will have game-day roster room for safety Michael Huff, whom the team signed last week.

Thomas has a sprained knee and is expected to miss his second consecutive game. He would be replaced by Virgil Green and Jacob Tamme. Green is an on-the-line tight end who is considered a better blocker than Thomas. Tamme is a “receiving” tight end who was quarterback Peyton Manning’s most productive target last week at New England, where he had five catches for 47 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Broncos are expected to dress running back Ronnie Hillman for the first time since his critical fumble Oct. 20 at Indianapolis. Hillman, a second-year back, was inactive in the Broncos’ previous four games.

Hillman is expected to be the No. 3 running back against the Chiefs, behind Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball. Moreno is a bit gimpy with a bruised right ankle.

They're a pretty good team. Given our current roster, they're most likely a better team than the Broncos right now, even with their rookie WR's. They just know what the important pieces are for their team and build around them. Plus, they can adjust like no other team in the league. Given how they just win, despite their play, probably means another SB title this year. :(

Excited for Brady and Bellicheck to retire. Hopefully sooner than later. Tired of seeing those guys.

You missed the real nice PI they got away with two drives ago that stopped the Texans. The guy was all over the WR pulling on his jersey, hitting him in the head and no flag.

He was saying it should have been impossible to go without penalties; the bolded part is what has you confused. I think he agrees with what you're saying. :)

And yes, that was a terrible no call. Especially since it was in isolation and nothing obstructing any viewpoint of the play.

They aren't a better team than the Broncos right now. Not at all. New England struggles every single week and has to mount ridiculous come backs to have a prayer. Denver beat themselves 100% in that game last week.

Also, they haven't won a Super Bowl (or even looked good in the post season) since 2004. What makes you think they'll do it this year? This Patriots team isn't as good as the one they had the last few years.

Maybe not, but they were good enough to beat us the last few years. They are only one win behind us record wise and beat us straight up, so it's hard to argue we are the better team. They made the plays and we didn't. The Broncos are too inconsistent and make way too many mistakes, especially turnovers, to be considered the better team. We definitely have the potential to be the better team but unfortunately that potential isn't translating onto the field lately.

They do just barely win. But they do it alot, at least this year. The last time they had a team like that...they won the Superbowl. They just know how to win. The Broncos? We just know how to lose big games, we turn the ball over too much.

Sure, we're a better team on paper, but on the field? These guys just don't seem to know how to come together when the pressure is on. It's just my opinion, and I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see the Broncos pulling it out when things get tough. We'll fumble, or throw an INT, or just miss field goal position by 6 yards. Something just seems to happen. And I can't see how they're going to fix it by Jan. The Pats have proven to overcome that against really good teams.

Like you said, the Broncos beat themselves 100% last game. We're a good at beating ourselves.

Unfortunately I have to agree with this. We make too many bone headed mistakes when the game is on the line to be considered the best in the league right now.

For me today will cement my feelings about this team going forward. If we go into Arrowhead and play a mistake free tough game and come out with a win I will start believing we are one of the very best in the NFL. If we go in and struggle and make mistakes and look lost or out coached, it will be very difficult for me to keep thinking we are one of the best few teams in the league.

Andy Reid against Jack Del Rio today... who actually thinks JDR will win that one? Watch the Chiefs make major adjustments from our earlier game... we will see if JDR and our coaches can match up.

It's going to end up being a Saints/Seahawks v Broncos/Patriots super bowl. My money is on the Saints, especially with the Seahawks troubles in the secondary as of late. I think both the Broncos and the Patriots can hang with the Saints. I just hope it's the Broncos that get the chance.

Very nervous about it. He was once the very best, now he is a mere shadow of himself. He has been getting torched lately. If he struggles and the KC passing game gets going, Denver is probably in pretty serious trouble.

I know I sound very pessimistic. I just hope its normal before game nerves that I get every week and just par for the course, and not a real gut instinct. Couldn't haven't said it better myself. I just don't have alot of confidence in this team right now. Just so many things to overcome this year, with injuries, missing personnel, our coach being out, Manning's ankles. Man, that is alot for any team to overcome.
