Hello Broncomaniacs one and all and all Pat fans who decided to pay us a visit this week.

Here we are almost 11 months removed from our last meeting with the Patriots in the AFC Championship game, for what the Media has hyped as Manning VS Brady XVI

So here we are again , Manning vs Brady, Denver vs New England. Good vs Evil. Another chapter in the Epic Rivalry.

How do we do in our 8th game of the season? Well over the last decade we went 5-5. Of the 5 wins 2 were at home 3 on the road. Of the 5 losses - 3 were home and 2 away. Or we went 2-3 at home and 3-2 away :)

Three times Brady and Manning have met in the AFC championship game, Brady won the first time. Manning came from behind to win the second and Manning and Denver pretty much had our way with them in January.

We know Brady has won 10 of his 15 matchups vs Manning, (Manning has won 4 of the last 7)
In fact six of the last eight meetings have been decided by a touch down or less. This game has the makings of the next Epic chapter.

John Fox is 2 for 7 vs the Patriots 1-2 in the post season.

Our offense is clicking you never know who will be the go to guy. In 2012 Demaryius Thomas had 180 yards against them.

IN 2011 in the Reg Season they crushed us at home
In 2012 We shout ourselves in the foot on the road, as we gave away the ball on multiple chances deep in New England territory.
In 2013 a Great 29 minutes was defeated by dumb penalties, mistake and an overtime gaffe of not getting away from the ball in time.

Somehow we seem to shoot ourselves int he foot when we play them. They are a good team, they are at home, they will get points and the refs will give them calls, let's not make it any harder then it needs to be.

Pats have went more uptempo no huddle as of late. Since the blowout loss vs KC they have come out on fire. This will be a different defense than what they saw when they last faced us. One that has 23 sacks through their first seven games. Decker is gone, Sanders is in, and Welker is not even a story line of late. Our run game has improved under Hilleman and Thompson is a nice big power back. Thomas and Thomas can easily dominate a game if needed to!

The Patriots have yet to give up 300 yards to a qb this season, even though the D has only have 7 turnovers (31st in the league) they are ranked # 2 over all against the pass giving up an avg of 211. This has help them extend their home winning streak to 13 games. In October Brady threw 14 TDs and 0 Ints. He is playing at top level form. Gronk ( 7 tds) will still be a handful for the D.

We know how a WIN will give us a nice advantage over the rest of the AFC in our quest for home field advantage.

Please follow the COC and report any posts that may be in violation of that. The Trolls are here folks, let's keep them in check, but don't sink down there level. Let the Mods try to enjoy this game as well

I hope we have a great game, play Broncos football and get the "W"
OMAHA OMAHA!!! GO DENVER! Let's give them a rare defeat in NE! :logo:

By game time - 38 degrees. Rain and snow mix stops, wind 18-20 mph and wind decreases every hour.

The weather is not as bad as predicted. The "bad" wind and weather is happening in the morning and on the coast.

offense NO turnovers, must be able to run it well, keep Peyton upright, TD's in red zone, be great on 3rd down..

defense stop the run, pass rush must get to brady, tackle well no YAC yards, get off the field on 3rd down & turnover or 2 would help...

please cut down on the penalties n hopefully injury free game..

I live here and am looking out my window. The weather WILL NOT be a factor by game time. It will be 38 degrees, winds at 17 mph.

The wind will slow down and if you click on the link, it will show you that by 4:00, hour by hour, it will get less windy.

Stop worrying everyone. Also, Adam Gase and Fox have said they have prepared game plans for different weather conditions.

1. A wind advisory is in effect for Foxborough through early Sunday evening, which could make weather conditions a big part of Sunday’s Broncos-Patriots game. A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be 31-to-39 miles per hour, or gusts will range between 46 and 57 miles per hour. The windiest game I’ve ever seen was the Patriots’ 2008 regular-season finale at Buffalo, when the contest was delayed at one point because the goalposts had blown over. The Patriots won that game, 13-0, and it had Bill Belichick reflecting after it on the 1986 NFC Championship Game when the Giants won the toss but elected to take the wind instead of the ball in the first quarter; they ended up getting ahead 10-0 in the opening quarter en route to a 17-0 win. Wind usually affects the kicking game first -- punter Chris Hanson was a key performer in the ’08 Patriots finale with a 46-yard punt into the wind early in the third quarter -- so for all the talk about Peyton Manning vs. Tom Bradythis very well could be more about punters Britton Colquitt (Denver) vs. Ryan Allen (New England).

Bad weather makes it harder to play and brings teams closer together.

Hence why NE fans are so keen to see the weather as bad as possible.

What I do find funny though is how some people in the media want to discount us because it will be hard on the passing game....... NE need to pass the ball even more then we do........ Our rush D is fantastic this year and their running game isn't very good

Well, they just did a really good report as to why there is a difference on ESPN.

First, I wanted to kiss Keyshawn as he has been the first and only person to state that the cold weather meme about Manning is based on his time with the Colts and no longer applies since his time in Denver.

They then talked about why the advantage goes to Brady in the wind; flight of his ball because of his tighter spiral, whereas Manning's ball, when they come out wobbly, will have a harder time cutting through the wind.

The question was whether or not Brady's play drops off in bad weather. Of course your secondary is better this year. But if you can't see a difference between Brady's passes and Manning's then you aren't paying attention. Brady's throws lasers and Manning throws wobblers. Brady's lasers therefore are not affected by wind.

The Broncos need a balanced attack on offense regardless of what the weather is like. The weather will probably keep the score relatively lower. NE is weak against the run but has been tough against the pass. Broncos have a solid defense overall and are great against the run. This will be a tough game for the Broncos to win but they are built to win against anyone. Should be a good game.

I don't care if you're Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or Frosty the Snowman playing in that type of snow isn't easy. However reports are it's supposed to stop by gametime so hopefully it won't be to big of an issue. Ball security will be key in todays game.

:logo:

R - E - L - A - X

I was excited to see this team compete in bad weather. Not upset the weather has calmed, but would have been fun to watch if it was as bad as it was this morning.

The Jets have got to be the most frustrating team to watch I've ever seen. So disorganized, horrible clock management, no 2-minute offense. A total cluster.

It certainly would have shut up the naysayers if we win in it that's for sure.

Well it doesn't help much when the Jets are down to Matt Simms at QB.

I think this team is tougher this year so I'm not so sure we wouldn't play well in bad weather. I prefer nice weather though. :)

Not as bad as last year, but trickier. It swirls and can come from all directions. RT @Manny_Fresh18: how windy is it….really bad?

Not too many deep balls today if the wind continues to swirl.

Hmmm, interesting, what does everyone think the first play will be? Run or pass?

I'm going with a run up the middle.

There's some snow piled up in the corners and a bit of snow on the seats, but that is all that remains from the morning snowstorm.
