Well here we are for another Sunday Broncos game,

I still haven't gotten the bitter taste of last weeks non-game out of my system. Between poor play on all sides and players going done all over it was horrible. The only bright spot this week was KC falling to Oakland, and that still helped the Pats as KC had the tie breaker over them should they end the season with the same record. Now we have to hope Detroit and Green Bay can put the Pats back in their place.

We can only focus on the team in front of us, which is the Fins. We don't see them often. In the last 20 years we played them 8 times. 4 on the road 4 at home. Our record 2-6. One win at home and one win on the road. That win came 4 years ago at the dawning of Tebow Time. Miami is a good team that loss twice this year in the final seconds of games. Instead of 6-4 they could easily be 8-2. They beat the Pats to start the season, like I said with the Rams, DO NOT Overlook them.

Of the Phins 6 Wins - they occured when they rush for 80 yards, when they rush for less they are 0-4. Tannehill when posting a passing rating of 90 or higher is 16-1.

7-3 is not where I would hope we would be, let's see how we do in game 11s. Over the last 10 years we have a woeful 4-6 record. IN the 4 wins 1 was at home, 3 on the road. Of the 6 losses.
3 were at home, 3 on the road. Last years game 11 was the Brutal loss to the Pats.

It looks like Sanders and JT should be ready to play. Let's hope the O-line plays better. Even Clady has been struggling as of late. The run game is struggling. Things are just a bit if the hot mess.
In fact in our 3 losses this year we had a total of 4 rushing first downs.

Peyton is # 1 this year in passing TDs and # 2 in yards, but if you take away Ball, Hillman, Sanders, and Julius Thomas he can struggle at times. :P Manning has TDs in 49 straight games , His main target DT has 100 yards in 7 straight games, that is the 2nd longest streak in NFL history. JT has 12 TDs he need 5 more to tie the record 6 to break it.

Phins have a good attacking D. Grimes has 5 Ints which is 2nd in the NFL. Cameron Wake is explosive off the ball. Denver has only given up 11 sacks so far so it will be a good matchup. Let's hope Denver plays a lot better at home than they did on the road.

Win, Lose or draw, hope for a good game, let's hope we exit it injury free. As always follow the COC, report any bad posts to the mods. With a little luck we will end the Day with a "W" and can enjoy our Thanksgiving! As always GO BRONCOS! :logo:

That is a damn well thought out game post. You forgot to mention that you have possibly the best QB that has ever played. We can't even decide if our guy is good enough to sign an extension. He has been good for the last 5 out of 7 games of the 42 he started.

Our D line will rage hell on your line and I expect the same in return. We can run but you stop it well. You can't run and we stop it well. It comes down to the fact that your QB is just way better.

Nice post. You live in Durango? If so, how did you become a Dolphin fan? What gives? Spill!

This is a must win for us. I feel as a result of last week's loss (has it only been a week? Feels like a month ago as it's been miserable around here all week), so I think our team is gonna be pissed off and play hard.

Best of luck guys. Most Broncos fans root for you guys when you're not playing us for obvious reasons. And you had to lose to Detroit????

it starts up front as always hopefully o-line is tired of hearing how bad there playing n come out knocking them off the ball instead of other way around...both run n pass blocking

our defense will need be great to when then run 25+ times there 6-0 n we must get him on the ground..

also maybe for a change ST's will help out in a good way...

Id be shocked if the pats lost to the lions. I do think they will lose to the packers tho. If they win against the lions and packers tho you can forget about the 1st seed. Even if they drop one against the packers they would still have to drop another in order for denver to get the number one seed. Couple that in with the fact denver would have to win out in the scenario I just said. Its really not looking good for denver as far as the number one seed goes.

hopefully defense can cause a turnover or 2 n also stop the run...

gotta have this win...

The Broncos have had their chances numerous times in the past 3 years to take care of business. They have failed to do so. Truly great teams can take care of their own business and not require other teams to slip up.

For first time since Broncos’ 35-21 win over San Diego on Oct. 23, Denver will be back at home, playing in front of the same scoreboard operator whom Denver quarterback Peyton Manning took issue with and publicly chastised. The scoreboard operator who tried to stir the crowd and embarrass the Chargers and wound up upsetting Manning has been spoken to by two different Broncos executives, Broncos vice president Mac Freeman and president Joe Ellis, in terms of what is appropriate and inappropriate going forward, starting with today’s game against Miami, per team officials. Not only was the scoreboard operator addressed, but so were the Chargers, per a source. Broncos president Joe Ellis called Chargers president Dean Spanos to apologize for Denver’s scoreboard antics that night and assured him it won’t happen again. Just as teams’ make adjustments in their game plans, the Broncos and their scoreboard operator are making in-game adjustments. Last time Denver was home, Manning said it wasn’t the scoreboard operator’s “best night.” Starting today, this is the scoreboard operator’s best chance at redemption.

Off topic, but look at the contribution the Patriots always get from relative nobodies. All of their DB's move in-step on every play (I'm not kidding); they get kick returns for 60 yards from tiny, not-that-fast guys; their punter picked up a ball that literally bounced off the turf during the snap and kicked it almost 70 yards to completely flip the field; receivers are WIDE OPEN on every single play, and the little screens and outs that most teams get splatted on result in 15 yard gains for the Pats.

This idea that Brady works with less talent is absurd.

i enjoy manning and have grown to seeing

him always audible and make adjustments at the line,

im getting sick of it though,

in the superbowl, the first play cost us a lot,

i believe manning's 1st year in denver

vs ATL he threw 3 picks in the 1st quarter,

this year vs st louis, or new england

its like they toy with him, they show a D knowing manning will adjust to get in the play

leaving 2-3 seconds on the play clock, for the d to then get into the right play

i still trust his ability to read defences and the work he puts in,

but seriously, i think the nfl is slowing adjusting to manning,

and mediocre teams are playing broncos offence tight

any opinions?

just the 1st 15 plays being scripted to throw other teams D off a bit, not knowing the play call, or when he will audible

adds a bit more balance

One word - COACHING!

Coaching is a part of it, but consider that a lot of Belichick's assistants and coordinators get picked from that team annually.

They get players who are disciplined, and also seem to force a lot of mistakes from opposing teams.

As an aside to those who made claims of Manning leaving his receivers out to dry: Brady does the same thing. How Edelman isn't literally dead by now is astonishing.

Brady isn't working very hard when guys are wide open on every play. That's how it's been his entire career in New England. They run the same clearout plays over and over and over. Funny how fans here claim Denver is predictable and that leads to their offensive struggles at times. The Patriots run even fewer plays, yet guys are wide open.

I agree with you to some extent but what I was trying to say was when was the last time that a clear cut favorite won it all? Like us for example in 2012 I think we were the best team and every pundit said no team would beat us in the AFC. We were one and done . Or how about the Pats in 2010? Right now, the Pats ARE the best team, not America's favorite... they are destroying the leagues best D, seemingly unstoppable at home and likely playing at home for the AFCC. No other team including us has that 2-3 step drop and quick pass offense like they do... u can't blitz all the time... and for a bunch of no names, that D rush is as good as anyone and better than ours... its not just sacks its hurries and pressure.. and they can stuff the run...

Can't settle for field goals and beat the patriots. They put you down in a hole early and then force you to go for it on 4th down all the time. This is the formula they are using to beat teams lately. Jump on them early and make them play catch up the whole game.

OK, let me barf right now. So the commentators are extolling the virtues for punishing Jonas Gray for oversleeping. "There's probably no other coach who would sit a player coming off a game with 4 TDs." That's why they're so great blah, blah.

But have no qualms signing a "me first, punk RB who will sell out his team mates, walk off the job and sulk like a little baby, who was also arrested for a marijuana charge while driving with a team mate."

I always thought Shanahan was the master of scripting the 1st set of offensive plays (at least during Elway's career). He would show the D different looks, see how they reacted, then use it against them later in the game. It was a real chess match and fun to watch. Unfortunately, I don't trust Gase/Fox to play that kind of x's and o's chess match so I think the solution is to go back to the hurry up in a big way...it causes confusion on the D and they don't have the time to disguise their formations to trick Manning into the audible they want.
