Don't care actually but Ravens are desperate. They'll win tonight. Case in point, Pitt couldn't tackle on last play...TD Ravens

Steve Smith's on my fantasy team so either way, I'd like to see him have a big game haha.

Anyone else see the B Marsh commercial giving props to Rod Smith? Don't know if it's old or not but I thought that was cool. Still have my Marshall jersey in my closet. :)

Same here.

I picked Pitt. Such a rivalry between these two teams.

I don't like Pittsburgh, but their fans and I share a dislike for Baltimore, we high 5 each other.

They just got to Flacco again. :D

Vick showing he still has it.

Vick's block for the TD was a heads up play.

He's been playing conservative but tree last drive looked great.

I'm surprised by Flacco. With the Steelers' secondary being so anemic I expected the Ravens to go after them. Not yet...

After a good scoring drive the Ravens are imploding. Two turnovers by ol' Joe.

I can't believe Bell didn't block for his QB when Vick rushed for the first down. He just stood there.

Flacco's TD pass was a beauty.

Poorly designed fake FG. When the defender sees the wing vacate, he's likely to follow, as the Pittsburgh defender did. If the Baltimore down blocks left, they contact on that guy and also cover for the pulling guard, a defender on the right side in unblocked, he gets kicked out by the pulling G and the wing cuts off that up the hole.

Instead the Baltimore FG team all blocked right, not only did this leave the wing's guy trailing but then the guy who was lined up or the end and you had a guy follow through after the pulling G.

That play never had a chance.

What an ugly game. If I was officiating both teams would have lost.

Here's Mike Tomlin's post game speech. It's weird, he sounds a lot like PM.

Scobee did miss 2 field goals, however I think the wind got them. Plus, Pitts offense didn't get a first down on the drive of their last missed field goal, if they had they probably could have run the clock down enough for BAL to not be able to come back and win, so I don't necessarily put the bulk of the blame on Scobee.

On another note, I think that this game showed how aggressive play calling isn't always a good thing. A failed fake field goal for BAL, and 2 failed 4th down conversions for Pittsburgh. I think aggressive play calling is overrated by some, and it seems some people love to blame conservative play calling, citing examples of times when teams lose in part due to 'conservative' play calls not working, however don't do the same when an aggressive play call doesn't work.

I like being aggressive and playing to win but there's a time and a place for it, you still need to play the situation. Like the Giants against Dallas week one.... I had no problem with that being a pass play because it was a PA and I didn't think Dallas would suspect a pass.... they defended that very well, the disaster there was Eli has to know if its not there just to take a sack.

What I didn't understand last night was Pitts were really conservative with Vick all game, then go for it on 4th down rather then taking a FG for the W. I know he had missed 2 but they were close and you just have to trust he will make it, I thought that was a bad call by Tomlin

Bronco51

It is about the situation, I do agree. However, I do disagree about NYG/DAL. In that situation, an extra :39 seconds off the clock I think could have helped their defense a lot.

I believe they were close enough to have a good chance of scoring with a run too, which makes it even worse. Essentially, if you run it if you score you go up by 2 scores, and if you don't score there is only :58 seconds left on the clock with DAL needing a TD and I believe no time outs. Either situation there favors NYG I think.

Sure, the defense MAY have given up a TD in :58, but to me if your defense can't hold in that situation your team probably won't go very far. In truth, I think there may be WAY fewer game winning drives with less 'prevent' style defenses(or soft zone, whatever it may be technically called).

I agree an incomplete pass was a huge disaster, thats why Eli had to slide or take a sack if it wasn't there. His clock management cost the Giants the first 2 games
