If he is hurting he could pull himself out and get healthy for the long haul. Kubiak could make that decision as well and it is on him as the coach to make a decision that he thinks is best.

Hey you know I been defending Manning a lot but I agree today is the day Manning needs to sit. For the better of the team if you hurt sit out.

They won't sit Peyton Manning unless he's clearly hurt... It's unfortunate because they really should but he's warranted that with 2 decades of great play.

It's a what have you done lately league. Mannings history means nothing.

BroncoSynapses
11-15-2015, 03:19 PM
Ok, since this game is clearly over. Why not make it interesting? Given how bad and out of sync our offense is playing, how many more INTs are thrown? Also, how many times does our offense cross mid-field?

My guess:

2 more picks
Pass mid-field twice but punt shortly after.

Elway

two possesion game at least, that is the best I can say at this point.

Honestly though when you look at the passing offense our guys are just not consistently open and maybe this offense expects the receiver to beat the defender - it certainly isn't a dynamic plan.

On a non Manning note, where is our run game? I was looking forward to watching Anderson in the ZBS but we bench him for 115lb Ronnie Hillman? Lets pound the ball and see what happens

11-15-2015, 03:22 PM
There are upcoming games against John Fox/Gase/Cutler and Tom Brady. Do you really think Elway will tell Kubiak to send Manning to the bench? Not to mention the turmoil it will cause in the locker room. I think we've learned with the Plummer/Cutler situation. We'll either swim or sink with Manning. They might sit Manning today if he is injured, but for the season? I don't think so.

Well, after the GB game, I thought Manning and this offense may have turned a corner. Guess I was wrong. This is the worst they have played since Manning was our QB. But, at least he gave us a chance for the last three years. I'm thankful for that. This game, like this season, is over for us. Hard to admit, but it's true.

So, without knowing what we have in Oz, what do we do for a QB next year?

There's another reason for dropped passes...not entirely valid as you should still make the catch

But as a former CB and Receiver I can tell you, there's a sweet spot of how fast you want the ball to get on you...a lot of time you want the ball to come in with some speed so it sticks into your hands...I always preferred that on shorter routes than passes that took awhile that you have to wait for and wait to embrace a hit on

Manning throws ephus pitches...it's much easier on a receiver to catch a ball that hits you in the hands with some speed.

This isn't Kubiaks offense, it's Kubiaks attempt to keep PM a NFL QB.

Thank you .....

COBigfoot

Kubiak wants to play like they did in 97-98. Payton likes to play the way he has always played, shotgun and constantly checking plays. So we try to do the pistol, and everyone knows how that works. What can the Broncos do at this point
to change???

We can't run the ball and that is Kubiak's offense. They should have put together a line in the offseason - this is on Elway and Kubiak. We ran well under Fox and Kubiak is worse.

As a receiver in the NFL you catch anything thrown your direction - anything, the drops this year are very bad and are continuing. Lets see if we can run for 2-3 yards, that would be a victory in itself.

Absolutely spot on. I always preferred zip on the throws.

Yeah tell that to all the WR's that used to drop Elways balls which had plenty of zip.

Not buying it, Thomas and the dude that shall go nameless dropped Tebows balls left and right when Tebow was here and he had zip on them.

Sometimes guys just drop a lot of balls.

cmc0605

why is manning going back in? yikes

Because, for example, he is smart enough to know how bad the o-line is and therefore needs to put the ball in a spot as soon as it is snapped...like to where OD ran too last time and dropped it. Brock won't be able to hold on to it with this protection ,either. Manning is going to look bad but with no help he's the best chance you have.

broncoslover115
11-15-2015, 03:34 PM
Then they need to open their eyes, he had a clean pocket till he left the box which allowed the end to drop on him. It was clean to step up into. I hate him but it that was Brady he would have bought time.

Come on bro. Owens should have had that pass.

Manning is playing like crap but don't blame Manning for that drop.

As I mentioned it doesn't EXCUSE the drops....but it definitely is a contributor to why we're seeing several drops from DT and Sanders too...we've consistently seen drops that look entirely inexcusable but as another poster agreed with me on..

I can tell you from playing WR, you like passes that come in with some speed. I'm not saying Cutler rockets but you want the throw to get to your hands quick and STICK....when it softly lofts to you...it is a harder catch, trust me I think any WR would agree
