i was thinking, im not sure if they are but if either Ty Law, Tyrone Poole, or Asante Samuel are free agents in 2005 they would probably be good pick ups for us. But the only question is are any of them free agents?

Law is recovering from a foot injury and will be fully healthy at the end of preseason next year! I don't think he is a free agent, but we already have enough injury problems with our team. From our secondary to Trevor Pryce.

Poole? The only reason he is playing good is because of their scheme....kinda like denver's rb's....

So, I s'pose you want O'Neil back, too, huh??????

Law is a FA @ the end of the year, but I doubt we'll be able to give him the kind of $$$$ hes going to want.

As it is with most high profile fas like Law how do you pay him? He wont be cheap and even if and when Shanahan an co make more cap space they wont be able create enough to sign one of Law's caliber. Come on guys lets at least be a little more realistic.

I would love to get Gary Baxter in FA. I don't think he will be very expensive.

Law could be a great pick for us. But he is not a free agent. The other two are not great CB. First they are not a shut down corners. Our defense is not like New England. They play zone with their line backers dropping underneath the receivers so the CBs can play a little further. Or they play man coverage with a quick blitz that will allow the WR to make one move. So the DBs for the New England are required to stay on the receivers for one or maximum two moves. But our defense needs a CB that will stay with the receiver for a couple of days. WE NEED A PASS RUSHER. NOT A CB. Roc will come back better than we saw. He will play with a chip on his shoulder. Champ should mentor him. Our CBs should be healthy. We need to make the QBs make a quicker throws. Thatís all.

we shouldnt pursue just a return man, we dont have the room on a roster / cap for just a specialists like that
i think Q is our return man this year and if he stays healthy he'll be a threat to take it all the way, hes a great open field runner
