Antaaj Hawthorne....We need DL help worse than any other position!.....and he should be available for us to take at #25. If Hawthorne is not there, then we should take Pollack, or Ware if available.

I am high on Shaun Cody, but with D-line I think the combine plays a lot into it, with the 2nd I have decided I want McPherson and that if we don't get him here he wont be there 35 picks later.

Jammal Brimmer isn't even a 4th round pick, let alone a #1 overall. LMAO.

Shaun Cody first, and if wasn't available and Hawthorne was I'd take him.

it depends on if we go 3-4 or not. If we go 3-4 wed have to take Shawne Merriman in the first, that would make our LB core far and away the best in the NFL, merriman is a more athletic version of willie mcginest, hes a phenomenal pass rusher, and has the athletic ability to be a force in coverage. He can also play down as a 4-3 edge rusher on 3rd down or nickel situations

There are also players who can make very good nose tackles to be had in the middle rounds of the draft.

but since i dont think we are realistically moving to 3-4, but merely thinking about using it in situational situations, i believe it will be a draft for 4-3

for our first, shaun cody / any DE's like marcus spears, dan cody or dave pollack, i aint too high on antaaj hawthorne, DT's flop way too much for 1st rounders, you can always get good DT's in the 2nd or 3rd

for our 2nd, it depends on who's already been drafted, i would love us to draft someone like G dave baas, but he'll be gone, maybe a safety if kennoy kennedy walks or a CB if we lose personnel there, but if we have bailey, walls, herndon and middlebrooks next year, we should be fine, its if any of the 4 leaves then we would have a problem, we may possibly draft a WR, there are some good 2nd rounders

Eh, Brimmer is listed in the #10-#15 range among consensus on most draft sites.

I'm going to have to say with only five safties being taken in the first three rounds last year; that there won't be that many next year.

He's probably going to go in the 5th round.

And on top of that, this drafting strategy is heavily western (MWC) bias. I scent favoritism, plus I don't see many impact players either.

Round 1:
Shawn Cody, DE/DT USC

Round 2:
Vincent Fuller, FS Virginia Tech

Round 3: forfeited for cap violations

Round 4 (compensatory for Bert Berry):
Roscoe Parrish, WR/KR Miami... if taken, go for Larry Brackens (WR, Peral River CC), Courtney Roby (WR, Indiana), or Adell Duckett (DE, Texas Tech)

Round 5:
Adam Snyder, T Oregon

Round 6:
Chris Kemoeatu, G Utah (I'm banking on his suspension knocking him down to the later rounds)

Round 6 (compensatory for Ian Gold):
Maurice Clarett, RB Ohio State

Round 7: Chad Owens, WR Hawaii (just in case Parrish is taken), otherwise take Lamont Reid, CB from NC State

yeh chris kemoeatu would be a good pick, because that guy has intensity, and chad owens would be a very nice pickup, hes a little small to play as a WR, but as a KR/PR, hes a demon

but i hope we dont pickup maurice clarett, that guy's attitude sucks, he didnt even to go the skills showoff thing, and just seems to take 1 bad turn after another
