Well, since the wildcard era. Consider this, (and I'll keep it brief, I know you guys don't like stats.) But, look at the numbers for the 4 remaining teams over the last 5 seasons, The 21st century. It is just a meant to be, claim the title, smackdown coming up over the next two weeks. Probably never a better AFCDC and AFCCG rounds to come.

TEAM RECORD AVGW/YR AFC PO REC

NE 58-22 11.6 7-0

PITT 55-24-1 11.0 4-1

INDY 54-26 10.8 4-1

DEN 50-30 10.0 0-2

The Rest:
Closest I could find was:
Miami 43 wins, Baltimore 42 wins, Tennesee 39 wins (7.8wpy)

We are all elite company, good luck. This IS what we live for......

Who doesn't like statistics??

I love statistics. Properly analyzed statistics are a great tool for analyzing teams.

EDIT: Those statistics show that all of the teams have had some level of sustained success in recent years. And this isn't surprising since the AFC had 5 of six teams return to the postseason this year. And many of those teams made the postseason the prior year.

Still, I don't know if I'd consider them to be some of the best teams to face eachother in the history of the playoffs. Rather they are all teams that have had sustained success.
