Didn't notice this being posted anywhere else (and if it was, I'm sorry), but I felt this was a good article to read in this time of heartbreak. She seems like a strong woman and I hope she gets the justice that she's looking for.:salute:

She sounds like a fighter of a lady and very dignified.

"I do want his killer brought to justice. If we turn the other cheek and let it go, that's saying it's OK to carry guns, do a drive-by. I pray for the killer that he gets his life right."

She sure does. It's good knowing there's many people surrounding her with support, such as coach getting to talk with her. :ugh: I like the fact that she said his dreams didn't have to die with him... basically saying that hopefully a legacy is left behind, and other troubled kids find the path that Darrent found. :salute:

His mother is going through a tough time today. She is being very strong for her family. I wish she should not have to go through something like this.

So senseless. So many people have little respect or appreciation for human life.
Just awful.

My prayers continue to be with Darrent's mother, family, love ones, friends, teammates, and coaches.
