View Full Version : New Orleans @ Chicago NFC Championship Game Day Thread

It doesn't come around every year for us AFC fans, an interesting NFC matchup for the conference championship. The midway monsters are hosting the surprising Saints in what will be a cold day in the windy city. The Saints, easily the more balanced team, look to take their momentum against a club who has long made their money on a staunch defense.

I'm expecting the windy city flyer (Hester) to take one down for a TD today, but I'll be rooting for a New Orleans win. Should be an interesting game.

Both D's are looking good, but then that's to be expected so early in the game.

If the Bears O doesn't at least Challenge the Saints D, come the third or fourth quarter that Saints D will still look fresh.

Whoever wears out the opposing D first wins this one IMO...

Poor officiating so far IMO...

didn't call Grossman calling two timeouts in a row...

offensive pass interference was a bad call...

I don't agree with the fumble, but it did move before he was on the ground, so I can at least understand that call.

That Saints D is starting to look like they are sucking wind between plays. If the Saints offense doesn't start doing something, the Bears momentum will take this game easy.

The only thing that has kept it close so far is that Grossman is off on almost all his throws, and isn't making good reads out there IMO.

The officials arn't helping either IMO (well.... for the Saints).

anything will help n.o. out. better to go in the locker room 16-7 then 16-0

If the Saints can slow the game down, and keep a drive going, they have a chance of wearing out that great Bear D this next drive. The whole chicago team chased Bush until he was in the end zone on that play.

One of the worst officiated games I have seen in my life...
I can't stand seeing a team advance to a championship game like this... 7 penalties to 0 until the very end of the game.. The fumble reversal which he was clearly down twice before the ball came out.. knee down,,, ball loose , shoulder down, ball out... Every crucial call penalty or reversal went for the Bears...

It seems with all the publicity of the African American coach that it's just an NFL agenda to force it to happen. While I wouldn't mind seeing Tony Dungy get a ring after the job he's done with TB and now Indy....

What have the Bears done other than dominate the worst division in football and complete the easiest schedule in the NFL?

BLAH...BLAH...BLAH. I am so sick of these conspiracy theories. The Bears D out played the Saints. They deserve to be in the SB. Get over it!

Whether or not they were in the easiest division, they won the games they needed to in the playoffs. If they weren't that good, they would not have won.

Correct, you are entitled to your perception. However, when you say a team gets into the SB because the NFL wants a black coach in it, well, expect to be ridiculed.

Your comment is almost as bad as those who would undoubtedly say the Gov't was the reason for the Saints getting into the SB, you know, as a gift for screwing up with katrina.
