Spider-man 2 is so friggin AWESOME!!

I just came back from a premier of Spider-man 2 and let me say that it is one of the best Superhero movies ever. Scratch that, it is one of the best MOVIES ever. Maybe i'm just riding the high of coming back from it but I don't know, I really don't think I'll change my mind anytime soon. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't but you gotta trust me on this and just go see it. I enjoyed every minute of it and wasn't bored for one second. I thought it handled the continuity of the previous movie well and it incorporated other elements from the Spider-man universes that really added to the franchise(movie). I was surprised how well they were to pull this off. This movie is far superior to Spider-man 1. Not that the first one wasn't good, I liked it alot but this one just blows it out of the water IMO. Also being a big fan of Sam Raimi I was glad to see more "Raimi-isms" in the film. It seems like they gave several nods to the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness movies. Which was super cool the way the did it and didn't interfer with the movie at all. I was kinda of giddy when I was watching those scenes. Anyway, go watch it. It's a great movie. As I said, I think it's one of the best Superhero movies ever. Check back afterwards and tell me what you think.

I've just saw it this evening, very cool! Dr. octopus was so bada$$. The whole movie outdid the original, but the original was very good also. I think venom will be the baddie for part 3! He should be imo, although we could possibly see the hobgoblin, or the lizard. Just gotta wait 2 years.

You know, I did enjoy the movie but I didn't think it was quite as incredible as some reviews had stated. In fact, it's not even at the top of my favorite Super Hero flicks which consist of both X-men flicks, Superman and Batman (the first in both series).

It's odd because Spider-man was always one of my favorite Super Heroes as a kid but the movies didn't quite live up to my expectations. I think the cartoonish CGI effects are part of the problem. I seemed to have an easier time suspending my disbelief even with the old effects of the first Superman flick.

Oh, well. Like I said, I did still enjoy it.

Still waiting to see it... heard mostly good things across the board about it, which is pretty good since the next one won't be due until May 2007.

Overall, marvel is doing a fine job with their adaptions. I wish DC will step up to the plate. Hopefully the next Batman film due next june will put the franchise back in the right direction. It's funny, because DC/Warner hasn't released a good dc adaption besides superman 1&2, and the original batman. Joel schumacher destroyed the rest of the batfilms. I don't know how catwoman will turn out, and they're struggling to get the new superman film to take off. On the other hand, marvel has a consistant line up due in the next 2-3 years. Blade 3 due in dec, Electra due feb 05, Fantastic Four due july 05, Ghost Rider due in 05, X3 due in 06, Hulk 2 due in 06, Daredevil 2 and Spidey 3 due in 07.
