Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I'm on a one year hiatus from drinking. It began in March. It'll end on St. Patricks Day.
I never drank that often, but I have had way too much to drink on tons of occasions. Luckily, I've never had a hangover. I threw up once when I was 19, but otherwise, I have always maintained myself well.
I drink LOTS of water to go with my alcohol because most hangovers are primarily dehydration.
The last time I drank, I went walking down Colfax and I invited a homeless guy along until he ran into some lady who was very short (probably 4'11"). She was somehow angry with him, so she came over and grabbed on my shirt and swung on my slieve like a monkey. I left them and went to a bar where I remember talking to some girl for quite awhile and talking about the lizard with a ladder on Alice in Wonder Land and about my lanky friend from highschool who I likened to this lizard.
I don't remember anything else except that she had black hair that went down to her shoulders. I got her number and erased it from my phone the next day because I didn't really remember her. I talked to a homeless guy a bit and gave him a bunch of old clothes that I didn't care for. It turned out that he went to my church, so I ended up seeing him later on.
I decided that getting that drunk means that anybody could take advantage of you. I decided that I would not drink for awhile.
Truth be told, it's worked out great for me. I still go to bars sometimes and talk to drunk people and it's fun, but I simply don't drink. I like being in control of myself. I'm lucky because a lot of people drink to feel confident and to drop their inhibitions, but I don't need alcohol for this, so I feel great.
I do miss the taste of some of my favorite alcohol. I love to smoke a good cigar or pipe tobacco and to drink cognac or scotch. And I like a good beer and good wine, but what I miss in the flavor, I make up for in the pocketbook because drinking is expensive. I can go dining and I can drink very little and feel happy to have spent much less. I do miss drinking sake at sushi joints and I plan on trying this pear cider at a local bar when I drink again.
Basically, I miss drinking a bit, but it's nice to have a break.
Drank whiskey, vodka & rum...doubles all night.
Went to Steak n Shake, violated the bathroom from both ends and scared many people. Will never go there again, ever. Ever.
Went to go fishing. Took pint of Jack & case of beer.
Woke up with top down on car, passed out with pole cast over windshield in middle of a cornfield.

Don't forget about your pancreas! Alcohol affects your pancreas just as much as the liver. I haven't been to a bar since my 10 year reunion in 2001. I like beer and hard liquor but I had to give it a backseat because I didn't know when to say enough.
