No it is not, there is absolutely no physical strength involved in playing poker...it is not a sport, and if it is considered one, then thats BS....It is a game, not a sport, if you want to say poker is a sport, then why dont you say monoply or Go Fish is a sport...So I will ask this, why do you think it is a sport CBaily?WE ARE WHO THEY THOUGHT WE WERE -

Curling still requires physical activity (not much) and some finnesse. My uncle Rex plays poker all the time. My uncle Rex weighs close to 300 pounds, smokes cigars, and lives off fast food. My uncle Rex is not an athlete.Comment

Poker is not a sport in my opinion.
Curling is a definate sport. My cousin Claude is on the Swedish curling team and is a one of those guys that cleans the ice as the rock slides. He was broke and was sweeping up a local diner when the Swedish coach took a liking to his amazing stroke. He told my cousin that no one swept up dirt and peanut shells with such grace. He asked my cousin to join and he has been curling ever since. In the off-season he squeegies hockey rinks. He may not look it but he is a definate athelete. He is a hunchback which allows him to be naturally closer to the ice so he can see the intricacies of it. His feet are also curled up in a way that makes his foot almost like an ice skate blade so he glides over the ice. It's kind of like how Secretariat had a larger heart than all those other horses. My cousin was just given a gift. He is my hero.

No. I don't think it is. However, when I was trying to learn how to play it, all the girls in the Girl Scout troop made sport of me b/c I didn't know how to play.
