From my experience, Wisdom teeth aren't.

I was happy to get mine out, they numbed my hand before the I.V. so I had no real problems at all. The drugs afterwards were great, the swelling was minimal, I just had a good bit of bleeding for a couple days is all! Hope you feel better though!

It hurts so bad!!!! I know for a fact that one of them is impacted because it hasn't popped up yet and yet it hurts like a beach.

I want that to happen now!!!

        Thank God for wisdom teeth.

We would all be stupid without them.

I got them out AND IT HURTS SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sort of pissed that the doctor gave me some other pill instead of vicodin and I had all four taken out at the same time. While I was under the sleeping gas and anesthesia I didn't feel a thing though and it seemed to fly by quick. I got home feeling fine except for the dizziness and grogginess and I took a nap for an hour.... And then the sleeping gas and all that wore off and now IM IN FREAKING PAIN!!!!

My dad just now brought the "Propoxyphen" from the drug store and it still hasn't kicked in yet.

What I sort of did to numb it was to eat ice cream... To bad my lips were still numb from surgery and it felt like needles going through my skin whenever I had ice cream on it.

Sorry if none of that made sense but I'm still in pain and totally confused right now.

I'm very sorry to hear that, my man. Seriously, I was so stoned out of my mind that I can't even recall any pain. I just recall remembering that it did hurt and that I was okay with that.

            Get better meds.

That's how I was at first after I was done but then I just had to take a damn nap and my dad just had to get the prescriptions so damn late...

I guess the pills are working somewhat now. It still hurts like a beach.

What prescriptions did they give you after you got yours out?

I was sort of hoping for something strong like that...

Not because I want to get messed up or anything but really for the pain.

Then again I've had friends who got addicted to that stuff at one point so I don't know..

Now that I think back they did give me like a 1/8 of a valium pill like an hour before surgery.

I have a question. The doctors stitched up my gums with sutures. Those sutures are more then likely dissolvable right?

Oh yeah and today I'm feeling so much better...

My jaw is sore and my throat hurts a little but its 10000x better. Woohoo!

Yes, more often than not they are dissolvable or actually (absorbable) sutures.

Get this, I had the pleasure of having an extra wisdom tooth! Had the rest pulled out in the hospital because there was swelling that the dentist was concerned about....had to remove the teeth and dig out some root or whatever that was causing the inflammation, almost to the jaw bone. I came out looking like I went 20 rounds with George Foreman (when he was young)!! Swollen and black and blue.

Probably the worst part was that it was my first experience getting anesthetics, and they gave too much.....resulting in me waking to a room that was spinning a bit. It took me a few hours to get my senses back. That was scary.......along with the fact that the specialist told me on my original visit that what I had may be cancer related, unlikely but just maybe........he didn't have to say that.:nono:

Anyway.......the pain didn't last too long, but the swelling and discolouring lasted a while....made me look tough though!!!

Hope you feel better real soon!
