I have played over 12 years of football and this is my first year teaching PE.

During those 12 years i have not a single major injury and I feel very lucky about that. What does that say when I mess up my knee trying to relive the glory days playing soccer with one of my classes.

I have my first MRI today at 3:30 and have no clue what to expect. Doc thinks it is my ACL.

I hope it's something that is easily taken care of---no surgeries.

I had one 5 months ago. Just keep your eyes closed and listen to some music, that's what helped me.

        Good luck.....

              Been there done that

The MRI is a piece of cake, just your lower body will be inside, not your head. I fell asleep during my MRI.

Now the ACL surgery on the other hand...

MRI should actually be NMRI. Magnetic Resonance Imaging doesn't make so much sense. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging on the other hand does :p

                Hope it all went well!

If they don't call you by Friday, call them.

I've had issues with doctors and staff. Took 3 weeks for mine and I had to call the MRI tech to get the results.

I called them today and they told me the DOC has not looked at it yet. They said try again by a little closer to 5pm.

Hopefully you didn't do any major damage.

On the Bright side, it's almost summer time so you can rest before school starts in the fall.

                              Will that require surgery?

If you're unhappy about the way the doctor is handling this, do what I did. Change doctors.
